It does for one pair of our great nieces, who claim to be Hispanic, "Mexican" even. Their paternal grandparents were both born in Texas, don't know how much farther back that Texas thang goes for them. I have one friend for whom it goes back to the 1600s. Only it was part of New Spain in those days. The great nieces' grandmother sounds just like the wife of that friend of mine. Looks a little similar too, but her father immigrated, legally, during WWII. (He was a barber on a Naval Air Station from then until he retired)
I also have a niece and nephew who have one black, with a touch of American Indian, parent, and one white parent. I think she thinks of herself as Black, but acknowledges that she's "yellow". I don't think her brother thinks of himself as anything but himself. His girlfriend is blond, but she too has a touch American Indian, in common with many an Oklahoman.
Just when he "popped" onto the national scene....little house cleaning....

Sounds like a valuable “hook” for some Conservative investigative Journalist to “look into the validity” of Obama’s claim. Thus cracking open a door to Obama’s past history.

She became VP in 1970 and retired in 1986, so that would have meant high income during Obama's high school and college years.
Grandpa's a bit of a mystery. He went to work for Pratt's, a furniture store in the Honolulu area. He left them in 1967 and the branch closed in 1973.
So what was he doing later on? Was he a house husband? Some say he was a CIA operative, but you don't go from a quarter century selling furniture to being a spy. If he did have a job, that would also make a contribution to his grandson's tuition bills.

I wonder how much newly graduated Obama paid on his Colombia and Occidental loans between the time he graduated from Columbia and the time he entered Harvard a few years later.
I bet it wasn't very much if he paid anything at all.
I wonder if he told Columbia financial officials that he had an outstanding loan at Occidental, and I wonder if he told Harvard about his Occidental and Columbia loans.
The loans at Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard must have been huge, because there is no record that Obama worked at a job during his college years.
And living in expensive New York could not have been cheap for Obama while he was a young undergraduate at Columbia.
In my opinion, President Obama has unexpectedly and dangerously raised more questions about how he financed his college education.
I bet Obama now wishes that he had never brought up the subject about his college loans in his recent speech at the University of North Carolina, because he now realizes that reporters will surely pressure him to answer in more detail this question: How did you pay for your studies at 3 different colleges?
He has no proof of the loans, but has proved to be very good at lies.

Not a problem, it simply implies he had a substantial amount of income in those years working for a charity of Churches when he only became “Christian” in 1988 and then worked to become a “community organizer” before going to law school.
Those substantial incomes, even if they were gifts, are surely reported on his income tax returns, along with the payments of those Boston tickets.
