Unfortunately this appears to be the case. In 1943 there were massive race riots in the US and they even spread to black US soldiers in England.

Next, do you really think that youths should be able to violently beat people and not risk being killed in self defense? If you were being beaten senseless and you had something that could stop the beating, should you not use self defense because your attacker happens to be black?
