"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan
"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

When Hell freezes over.

I think we all know we are screwed.

Write in. If 0bama wins, only he can be blamed for the road he takes us down. If Romney wins, the whole of the GOP and all who voted for him will be blamed, for the road will potentially be very similar....

What I’ve never heard explained is what is the spirit behind Mormonism? Some of its tenets seem similar to Scientology and make we wonder what is the source? I’m by no means some fundamentalist, but it scares the hell out of me to vote for a cultist and deceiver. Why the hell did Santorum drop out? I still think he could have blown the convention wide open.

all this might be true...but it’s pointless. The first priority is to defeat Obama...nothing else matters for the future of the country

I am a fan of Quinn and Rose. The following joke has been running for their commercials:

A liberal, a conservative, and a moderate walk into a bar. The bartender says, "Hi, Mitt!"

Sorry, not following the chicken little routine.

Give me someone I can vote for, and I'm with you.

LOL THat's the joke Foster Freiss told at CPAC.

There's a lot of truth in that. Now if Santorum had bowed out early in favor of Newt...

Romney stands less chance of winning that John McCain had. He lost two of my neighbors with his plan to screw people buying a second home.

Get back to me when you have a candidate to pitch whose record doesn't match up so well to Obama's:

Romney’s purpose is not to be a RINO president.

Romney’s purpose is being enacted right now - to split the Republican Party between RINO’s and conservatives, and thereby lose the election to the Democrats, in EXACTLY the same way McCain threw the election to Obama the last time.

We NEED a brokered convention - or a third Party able to outvote the other two. Because if it’s not Romney, it will always be some other RINO. That’s what the machine DOES - and it’s the Democrat machine I’m talking about. Who other than the Democrats could so perfectly pick, protect and annoint their preferred competition? The fact of the matter is that a RINO Republican Party IS NO Republican Party - it’s merely a closely-held adjunct of the Democrat Party.

What people are starting to dimly perceive is that there’s only ONE Party at this time, and that’s the problem.

I didn’t hear her say it on the show, nor did I follow the speakers at CPAC. Maybe she gave Foster Freiss credit for it at the time when she told it.

I don’t think Freiss cares about credit one way or the other. He seems like a pretty easy going billionaire.

Romney is not a threat to our constitutional republic...Obama is. Vote accordingly. Attempts to convince us how bad Romney is just help Obama at this point. Newt is over, any other conclusion is denial.

The government's screwing me because I don't get a tax deduction for buying Oreos. See, I like Oreos, and I deserve to be rewarded for it by paying less taxes than my neighbor who doesn't eat Oreos.
