How is it that I don’t get it, but am in agreement with you.

I have one issue and one issue only that concerns me this election and it IS OBAMACARE. If the USSC does not overturn the legislation, then we MUST get BO out of office. If they do overturn it, then I won’t be so apt to fight with my fellow FReepers.

Obamacare is a liberty stealer in the range of the Income Tax, SSIP and th WOsD all rolled into one! If we do not get rid of it now, then we will never get rid of it and we might as well just outlaw elections anyway.

Yeah, he's normal. Who ever thought we'd see the day when Ted Nugent is out there campaigning for a gun-grabber?

Strange days, indeed.

I don’t get it: Romney is more liberal than even Obama yet Ted is supporting Romney.

Not a chance. Romney has made some awful mistakes, and has some awful positions, but there's simply no way that he is as bad as Fauxobama. I'm am seething mad at the lack of choice that we have (and will still vote for Gingrich in the TX primary next month, regardless of whether he's in the race or not), but Fauxbama is the enemy. Just like the US allied with the Soviet Union in WW2 to get rid of Hitler, so must conservatives ally with Mittbots to get rid of Fauxbama. Just like we got rid of the Soviets over the ensuing years, so we will get rid of the Mittbots and restore our Republic - but we must first survive as a modestly free nation before we can do that.

Yeah, Romney rots - but he's not Fauxbama. Besides, if we have a reasonably solid conservative majority in Congress, we can stop the worst aspects of Mitt's liberal tendencies. He, unlike Fauxbama, has some respect for the law and won't be issuing Executive Orders all the time in order to undercut the Congress and all of us. He's at least somewhat persuadable - unlike the Manchurian Candidate in the WH.

If you could go back and get rid of the politicians that brought us the Income Tax, or the administrations that brought us SSIP, Medicare, Medicaid and the WOsD programs, would you do it?

Obamacare is all of that rolled into one giant liberty stealing program. Yes, Mitt MIGHT do something, but we all know that Obama WILL do something. He already has. If the USSC does not overturn it, then we MUST repeal it now or it will never be repealed.

I prefer to play russian roulette with one bullet in the chamber instead of filling all of the chambers.

that is exactly the kind of thing we need to hear more of I am tired of pussyfooting around so as to not offend the perpetually outraged.

Exactly right. I

It's funny the Nuge said he's be dead or in jail if Obama is re-elected; Ann Barnhardt said pretty much the same thing over the weekend:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vwLvDVdJXnE#!

She said, "I don't expect to survive the Obama regime."

STOP panicking and START THINKING.

Well said! I agree completely with your whole post! The success of the next four years still falls on the shoulders of the tea party movement and that job will be easier without Romney in the White House.

Your Russian Roulette analogy is backward. Romney would effectively provide all six rounds. If Obama won, the very fact that Republicans had so soundly rejected liberal Romney, would empty most of the cylinders.

You say Mitt might do something? THIS IS THE MAN WHO DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED THE MODEL FOR OBAMACARE! Hello???? Observation indicates that it's probable that his vanity and pride are as wrapped up in seeing it pass as Obama's. Romney's registration as a Republican is a beard that, sadly, few are willing to allow themselves to see through becasue they are so blindly fearful of Obama, and they are paralyzed with fear because they have fallen for all the hype attributing omnipotent powers to Obama. But because Romney is a Republican, HE would have the greater power (and would very likely use it) in destroying limited government conservatism, which is the ONLY political defender of our freedom.

The most substantial thing better about Obama than Romney, is that Obama is a Democrat.

Romney has a long, documented record of PROMOTING liberal policies on the five major issues -- cap-and-trade, nationalized health care, subsidized abortion on demand, activist liberal judges, and the homosexual agenda.

And it's just SAD to see folks here hanging on to the ridiculous hope that "If we can just maintain a conservative majority in Congress, we can hold Romney's feet to the fire." Yeah -- and if we can just talk enough sense into cats, we can get them to love going to NASCAR races.

Fear makes people do stupid things -- like vote to surrender everything the Republican party needs to DEFEND.

Obama is just proper punishment for murdering our babies..

I truly believe he is an instrument of God's judgement on this nation, in the same way He allowed evil kings to rule in OT Israel and Judah.

Well, if Romney is elected I know that he will NOT be writing or passing legislation, so I will have confidence that the congress (if we can pack it with TP conservatives) will keep him in check.

That is NOT an unreasonable hope, it is a distinct possibility. However, it is also a guarantee that anything passed out of that conservative congress would be vetoed by Obama.

Good point, may even be accurate..
The point is... America has the givernment they deserve.. NOW..
ELSE; they would elect another one.. i.e. Occams RAzor..

Unless the voting process and mechanism has been thoroughly corrupted..
Then its the same thing only different for allowing it to happen..
The Unions are drinking Americas blood like a VAmpire..

The debacle in Wisconsin is pitiful.. tragic really.. even the police and firefighters are corrupt..

Simple solution -
if you’re in a state considered to be up for grabs,
vote for the GOP candidate against 0bama.

If you’re not, vote your conscience.

Voting for Romney is bending over for the fascism of the government establishment choosing the president, instead of “government of the people, by the people, and for the people”.

You're so busy looking behind you at what you're running from, that you fail to see what you're running toward.

See Romney elected, and make the same post replacing Obama's name with "Romney." It's irrelevant.

In the event that the general is O vs R, the SANE thing to do is to vote third party so that whichever socialist statist wins, has the most debilitating plurality possible, which would weaken him politically and empower his opposition -- a good thing whether it was Obama or Romney.

Actually, it matters very much.

If your answer to "Who can take down Obama in November" starts with the name "Willard"... You aren't changing sh*t...

Voting for Romney in the general is the antithesis of practical, unless you are thinking of practical suicide.

I respectfully disagree. In the primaries you do your damnedest to get your man at the top of the ticket. My guy didn't win.

Now, if you are saying that given the two presumptive choices, that obama is a better selection, then I am going to say that you are wrong. America can survive 4 years of Romney (despite his liberal foibles), especially if Congress is nominally conservative in nature in both houses; a very real possibility. In fact, he's such a wind sock, politically, that I think he can be nudged to the right a bit. He may even be conservative-lite for four years, just to sick his thumb in people's eyes.

Even if Congress goes red, an obama victory will result in more irreparable damage to the very core of America's character. I am not certain the country can weather that; as a whole our nation lacks the character and morals to prevail such challenges.

You want to show conviction this fall? Take up arms and rebel against the tyranny of the Federal Government. Put your life and liberty on the line, and really fight. Go all in.

Otherwise, not voting for obama in a way that defeats him is not conviction, it's vanity. It's putting personal dislike of Romney's CINO tendencies above the future of the country. Opting out of the voting process, at this juncture is abdicating the field to the enemy when un-neccessary, as far as I am concerned.

Vote how you want; honestly at this point it doesn't rally matter to me. America is going to get exactly the type of governance it deserves. My personal convictions are such that I can weather what ever comes my way, and I won't have to do it alone..
