Poll: Scott Walker Opens Up Lead on Opponents (PPP Poll)
National Review Online - The Corner ^ | April 16, 2012 | Christian Schneider

Ever wonder what it takes to sanitize a Daily Kos post of all the snark and pompous windbaggery? We found out today, when their very own poll showed Wisconsin governor Scott Walker opening up a lead on his two primary Democratic opponents in the pending June 5 recall election. (One imagines the Daily Kos author typing that post while looking like Sylvester the Cat having swallowed a bag of alum.)

You are correct, it is now a mathematical progression. If he has four ore years it will be a geometric progression. British oppression of the people led to 1776. Democratic expansion of slavery against the will of the people led to the Civil War. Carter led to Reagan. How many more examples do you need? Even in Europe, they are awakening to the failures of the socialist multicultural model.

You have that childlike naivete and belief that everything will be ok and we will muddle thru somehow despite our massive debt, rapidly changing demographics that have us being colonized by the Third World, and a growing culture of dependency that believes that we can keep these unsustainable programs going by increasing taxes and gutting defense. You fail to understand that what is happening today is unprecedented in our history and we are no longer the same country that we were even 60 years ago.

You are correct, it is now a mathematical progression. If he has four ore years it will be a geometric progression. British oppression of the people led to 1776. Democratic expansion of slavery against the will of the people led to the Civil War. Carter led to Reagan. How many more examples do you need?

Tyranny can follow tyranny. Your logic is flawed. And what did Reagan lead to? RINO Bush 41, Clinton, RINO Bush 43 and Obama. Each one of them has increased the welfare state. Even Reagan signed on to that Faustian bargain with Tip O'Neil to save SS by decreasing benefits including raising the age for full benefits from 65 to 67, increasing taxes, and forcing all new federal employees hired after 1983 to join SS. From Lenin to Stalin to Putin. The entire ME save for Israel has perpetuated monarchies and oligarchies. The Arab Spring will not produce any real system changes, just replacing one group of tyrants for another.

Even in Europe, they are awakening to the failures of the socialist multicultural model.

I have lived 13 years in five European countries. You don't have a clue. The welfare state is firmly in place. It will be the last thing to go. The crisis they are experiencing is how best to keep it going a little while longer. They have already reduced their defense spending to about 1% of GDP and that will go down even further as they scramble to get money to keep the welfare state treading water. With the US providing the security umbrella for Europe for 65 years, the Europeans were able to focus their resources on social benefits. Look at what Spain, Italy, Greece, and Portugal are doing to deal with their austerity measures.

And Europe is facing even worse demographics than we are. They are aging faster and their populations will be declining. They will require large numbers of immigrants to keep their economies going. But they don't want the cultural and social problems that come with it. The immigrants are not assimilating and they are in many cases hostile to the very countries they are in. Enoch Powell saw it coming, but he was called a racist and nativist. Now he is considered a prophet.

They will collapse just like we will because there is not the political will or public support to rein in the entitlement programs. In the past, we have kicked the can down the road, now we are running out of road. And there will be no deus ex machina to save us.

No kidding! It is flat out amazing to me that so many FReeper’s just don’t seem to GET IT!!! This election is the end of the line for our country. I’m not a Romney fan, but I’ll take him all day long over BHO and cannot relate to anyone who would help BHO get re-elected.

Anyone who thinks a Romney presidency would be 'the same as 0bama' is fooling themselves. If 0bama goes, so goes the CZARS. Even if the ONLY difference between 0bama and Romney is the purging of the CZARS, the vote for Romney is entirely worth it. These thugs (CZARS) are behind much of the carnage going on in America and need to be stopped. A conservative Congress would ensure Romney not continue with such nonsense.

You are forgetting to mention THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON TO DEFEAT OBAMA - THE SUPREME COURT!!!!! If the SC Justices that are the elders on the brink of retirement or death are not replaced with conservatives, we can forget our liberty and kiss this country goodbye.

“If Obozo wins there will be no POTUS election in 2016.”

I wouldn't bet on 2012.

Romney should mention this consequence of voting for 0bama (impending SCOTUS appointments), of which there are many.

If it ends up being Romney, and if he defeats Obama, we can’t relent. We have to force his hand and that can be via protests and the people we send to Congress. He has to know that we mean business when it comes to restoring our Republic.

We are at a horribly low point, and the recent sensational headlines just exemplify how morally and ethically bankrupt we have become. Our government is unaccountable, so the government employees are unaccountable. They push the envelope over and over again, so that they don’t think twice about spending $1 million for a made-up excuse to throw a lavish party, of flying across the country twice a week on government military jets, and of hiring hookers and doing cocaine while on a foreign assignment.

This all stems from, and is a part of, the $1.3 trillion a year excess that we spend. Only 85 million Americans pay taxes, and of them a large percentage actually work for the government so it is even worse that it appears. The takers want so much they don’t mind that we can’t afford it, they will tax our unborn and saddle them with debt to consume. It is already a system where the people with the power and ability to tax have forsaken the ethos of doing the most with the least - they just take take take and spend spend spend without regard to whom it hurts or who will end up paying for it. And then throw in all the moral busibodies that TS Lewis warned about - they are relentless crusaders nosing in on every aspect of our lives from what food we eat to what we can say to what kind of toilets we can buy and lightbulbs we can use... and if they win from the USSC the “right” to mandate how we spend our money, they will no longer have to worry about taxing us more, they will just tell us how to spend what’s left.

Lately I have just been thoroughly depressed and I don’t feel the fire to fight, but I know we must. If it has to be Romney - and I’m not conceding that one bit - we have to prod him to make the right decisions and turn this country around.

Didn’t Clinton also incrase Muslim immigration?

Yes IT did.
