Obama Twitter Account Follows 'Celebrity Sideboob'

The verified Twitter account of President Barack Obama has been found to be a follower of the Twitter account @sidebooborg, representing a blog which collects and posts pictures of celebrities whose unadorned breasts are visible in profile.

According to the individual who runs the followed account, who only goes by the name "Celebrity Sideboob," the sides of boobs are a particular passion of his/hers. "If you haven't already figured this out, I love sideboob and I run a website based on it," on tweet states.

Granted, the President is often not directly involved in the operation of his Twitter account, and nearly 700,000 Twitter users enjoy the honor of being followed by the Commander-in-Chief.

Not really. I follow every single person that follows me and isn’t a spambot. It’s a selectable setting primarily meant for larger personalities and commercial users. I’m actually surprised they aren’t auto-following more people. They must weed the list down a little bit every few months or so.

Yes. The first family has a Wii for family game night and he plays NBA on - could be wrong - a PS3. (Just like millions of other people in his age bracket. I’ve played Wii games with my sole-surviving grandmother so that probably pushes the age brackets up a bit.)

o gee spare me the lecture. it so happens my mistrust of "adults" who play video games probably precedes obamas birth, wherever it was.

Wii is so cool. I was over it in 3 hours, and back to grown-up responsibilities. I would do it with my grandmother if I had one or my kids if they were interested as an act of charity. a Game. recreation. I can see that. I guess I don't consider that a video game -- it's more like an electronic board game.

You are correct. I'll bet Karl Rove even follows you. He follows two of my Twitter accounts. It's not because he's a fan of me. He must be on auto-follow. He follows almost as many as follow him. I've heard in the past that Obama is known to follow all that follows him.

A bit like the chicken and the egg. Most likely they followed Obama before Obama followed them. It's the nature of Twitter.

Because of the nature of Twitter this story's not going anywhere. The culture of Twitter is "if you follow me I will follow you back. If you unfollow me I will unfollow you".

Obama is listed as one of the "celebrities" who follows back. That means his twitter account is set on auto-follow like mine.

Heck, even I may be following that account and not know it. I never checked.

I understand where you're coming from but I also understand how it will be a non-story among those who know Twitter. I'm sure the opposition would begin searching those accounts being followed by those politicians on our side and who knows who they may be following if they are also on auto-follow.
