A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:
Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesnt even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.
Ive stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that Id never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.
Cmon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now hes cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that its a lie, but he knows its the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.
Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a conservative solution. Get real!!
Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:
Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare
There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!
Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!
But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.
Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!
WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!
No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!
Jim: Could John possibly modify the reminder we see when posting? As it stands now: "NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts."
I respectfully submit that a minor re-wording is in order: "NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism, NO RINO supporting or violence in posts."
It might just make some of the Romney pushers stop and think before hitting the POST button. And, if nothing else, it further asserts the rationale for zotting those that don't adhere to the policies of America's foremost site for unyielding Conservative Activism.
You just keep thinking that, spunky.
It makes you special.
-- Daniel Webster
” than if we voted in as many conservatives as possible and had Romney?”
Yes. Republicans such as yourself don’t hold the party accountable before an election so what makes you think you will hold Romney accountable after the election? Besides, what’s your leverage, you’ve already proven you will vote for the Republican candidate no matter what? They’re not worried about what you think. You don’t matter; they have your vote.
Thank you so much for showing all of Freeperville the kind of person you really are.
“Why vote for someone who is just as bad as the current ass-clown? “
You’re kidding. Remember Rev. Wright,The New Black Panthers, the insult to the Cambridge,MA police department,Van Jones,Bill Ayres, and then of course there is the luxury vacationer,Michelle.
I’m sure I missed plenty but you get my drift.
When is the RNC going to get the message?
It didnt work in 2008. It didnt work so far this year.
What choice do we have in November, than to make it crystal clear they cannot get someone elected without our help?
If we do buy into the idea that anyone but Obama is the operative phrase this year, then we seal the fate of Conservatism. We will prove the RNC right, that they can manipulate the process again and again, and well fall in line.
No. Ive given it enough thought. Obama may do many bad things, but he wont be doing it in my name. Romney would be doing it in my name.
No way Jose.
A man that can do these things, does not represent me.
_______________________________________________________
Very well put!
The RNC has been playing us, and I don’t like it one bit.
Even though the mere thought of it came close to making me physically ill, I was preparing myself to vote for Mitt. I was certainly waiting for our primary here in Texas, hoping Newt would still be in the running (nd win Texas), but preparing for Mitt none-the-less. ABO and all that.
Then the light came on.
We are not voting for a man because it is “his turn”, or because he has (R) after his name, we are voting for a man willing to lead this Country back to its Constitutional roots. The RNC, and their chosen ones are not just standing in our way, they are blocking us.
This election, I’m voting against the RNC and their RINO and FOR the Constitution.
-- John Quincy Adams
You mean the way Romney cared enough about the Taxachusetts economy to add the expensive Romneycare entitlement program to the budget and raise taxes and fees by $700 million to balance the budget? Is there any doubt enough Republicans and “blue dog” Dems wouldn’t coalesce to let him do this type of thing at the federal level? At least if Obama wins we know our House will unite to stop him from doing liberal things solely for political gain. Whichever way you vote this time it’s a 50/50 gamble at best so spend your time, effort and resources on REAL conservative candidates and causes.
Mega DITTO’S Boss!
Not riding in Romney’s handbasket.
My (very preliminary) choices at this point are down to four: Newt, Constitution Party, America’s Party, or write-in. Since realistically Newt probably won’t make it, I will probably be looking at the Constitution Party or America’s Party.
Oh, and that thing about Romney being a liar. He’s a lot worse when he’s telling the truth. Trust me on this.
“A Romney nomination insures 4 more years of the worst President in history. People do not vote for a man who can lie to their face with a straight face.”
You honestly believe Romney, warts and all, would be worse than what we’ve got?
And I’ll wait, btw, untill Gingrich is totally out before I consider the alternative.
But when (if) the time comes I’ll hold my nose and vote AGAINST obama.
If Newt was a viable candidate at this point in time I might agree with you. Otherwise, it's ABO for me and that includes Romney. Won't be saying anything else on the subject except - let the chips fall where they may.
Requesting the ZOT!!! Anybody else would be called down for posting FU, AND I am tired of all your asslickers. This place is too damn weird for me.
--Thomas Jefferson, letter to Elbridge Gerry, 1801
Yep. I'm pretty awesome.
You, on the other hand, live in Iowa....
Thank You Jim for standing firm against the Rino Romney!
Maybe the TEA Party can get behind Newt and encourage him to run as an Independent. Do you think our country would vote him in...or would we split our chances and end up with another four years of Obama? It is a worrisome dilemma that the GOP has given us. And they are almost handing the Dems a slam dunk for Obama. The GOP’s stupid adoration of a very unlikeable and un-conservative candidate will put this nation at risk...again...just like with McCain. It is sickening. My vote is important to me, and I hate for it to mean nothing. I really don't know what to do.
No offense to your wife implied here, but it baffles me how we can be seen as Ghengis Khan simply because we love our nation and want it run in accordance with it’s founding documents and principles.
We are if anything dead base center on the political spectrum, as related to those documents and principles, and our Founder’s were some fairly brilliant men, and respecters of the Christian God.
Your wife was kidding, but many people think of Conservatives this way, and I do not relate to that at all.
Jimrob is calling me an idiot now? Awesome Jimrob. You guys can insult me all you want but it wont change a thing. Given the undesirable choice between candidate Romney and candidate Obama, Romney is a much better choice plain and simple. Come on man.
A vote for Romney is to move the political center quite a distance to the left so far that Susan Collins would be considered a conservative and Dennis Kucinich a centrist.
You are a wazoo aperture on the scale of Mt. Rushmore. You’re monumental.
-- Thomas Jefferson, to George Logan, 1813
This "my way or the highway", wuss, idiot and FU if you don't do as I do silliness is right out of a liberal play book....nice.
I know, I know Freepme!
Fascinating.
Simple answer: Because he isn’t as bad as the current ass-clown.
If Obama is elected, then it’s game over. The next President will likely appoint two Supreme Court justices. If Obama gets to make the nominations, we’ll get Bill Ayers and Al Sharpton (or the stealth equivalent). Obama MUST be voted out. I don’t know who Romney would nominate, but I doubt his nominees would be Alinskyites.
Sort of like. "Better put some ice on that."
Not going to happen jo.
It is often easier to attribute complex phenomena to a monolithic actor, rather than look for the real cause.
In this case, if Romney gets the nomination, as appears likely to happen, it will be because he had a far better ground game, more money, and a better fundraising organization. It is not because of some mythical “GOP establishment.” To the extent influencers like Rove lined up behind Romney, most did so because they recognized that Romney was far better organized than his opponents, largely because of what he’d learned in 2008. As one prominent conservative said to me, “the others are sprinters, but Romney is running a marathon.”
I don’t like that Romney will be our candidate. Your criticism of him is deserved. For the record, I’m not a Gingrich fan either, as I believe that some of the RINO criticism that has been aimed at Romney is applicable to Newt as well. I started out supporting Herman Cain, and ended up supporting Rick Santorum - and if you want to point out that they were not perfect candidates, I won’t disagree.
The fact is, perfect is not on the ballot this year. The question you have to ask yourself is “would Romney be as bad as a Barack Obama who is unconcerned with reelection and hell-bent on imposing his socialist/statist agenda on this country?” No matter how much we dislike Romney - with good reason - he is unlikely to be as bad as Obama, especially if we hold his feet to the fire. We will not be without influence - he will need the help of conservatives if he is to get anything done as president.
I didn’t like McCain four years ago either; Remember how HE stabbed us in the back? McCain/Feingold, voting against the Bush tax cuts, introducing cap and trade, the Gang of 14, immigration? However, as bad as McCain was, I would give damn near anything to trade the last three years under the socialist Obama for a McCain presidency.
“Sending a message” would be nothing more than a pyrrhic victory. We have the ability to push Romney to the right; We need to use that power.
I hope you listened to Levin yesterday. It's the 4/12 podcast around the 63 minutes mark. An elderly lady whose job was to key in medicare codes lost her job because ObamaCare ended 2,000 thousand codes. She also talks about RomneyCare and how people from other countries are flying in to get free health care. GRRRR!
http://www.marklevinshow.com/sectional.asp?id=32930#
The big problem, can we survive another 4 years of the Fascist Marxist Obama and his illegal edicts?
Is it time to go out an buy a “Red Cap”?
TANSTAAFL!
"This is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering..."
-- Thomas Jefferson
No he's real. He's just the DNC #2 pick.
We need a TEA party coalition/representation in Tampa.
Thanks, Jim. My vote and my continued monetary support only for the cause of liberty and our conservative values. Conservative candidates only! No Romney!
Thank you Prisoner6.
We have also sent more money to Newt. Might be the best investment we’ll ever make. And I took our early ballots to the election commission office yesterday. And, like you, we are praying.
REALLY?? Just who is going to make us do that?
I did what th Elites wanted in the last election & some before that.
If I do it again - I need to plan on doing it for the next election!!
I'm in for Newt & they can like it or lump it.
You have to admit it is rather delicious to think about Obama being out Alinsky-ied by Romney!!
Thank you KittenClaws. IMO, great decisions. (obviously... ;-) )
Dude, you’re monumental. ®
No offense taken and yes she was kidding. She, btw, is also very conservative but hear’s my daily ranting and made the comment as a joke.
We, unlike liberals can make fun of ourselves.
Jim, my sincerest appreciation for this forum and for the leadership you have and continue to show in the most trying of times.
Folks, let us remember that several of our past leaders emerged from brokered conventions. The idea of a brokered convention is not yet out of the realm of possibilities, and judging by the media’s urgency to push Romney on us as the “presumptive nominee,” they are banking on the rest of the country just rolling over and voting for Romney during the remaining primaries. We have “superdelegates” even telling us to just roll over and take it. That DOES NOT MEAN WE HAVE TO!
America was built on the backs of strong, hard-working people who valued their freedom and took seriously the idea of voting in the next representative of the free world. America now consists of a very small class of people, FReepers and like-minded folks, who break their backs to support those who only care about the gender of Snooki’s baby and who’s winning “American” Idol.
It used to be that only white landowning men were permitted to vote. Then women. Then all people regardless of race. Where have we gone since then? We had the post-war prosperity of the 1950s, the degradation of society in the 1960s, the malaise of the 1970s, and the buttressing of freedom under Reagan in the 1980s. Now we’re faced with a task: do we vote for a liberal in Republican garb who supports every anathema to freedom espoused by Reagan, or do we allow another 4 years of the Marxist faggot currently residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave?
I, for one, am going to wait for the convention. Newt is still in the race, albeit muted, and I’ll personally wait until the end. Even then, no way, no how will I vote for Romney. At some point we have to say, “Enough is enough!”
IBTZ?
;-)
I understand your FRustration and am praying that the USSC decides to completely overturn Obamacare. If they do not, then I am compelled to cast a vote for the candidate that is most likely to sign the legislation that will repeal it. Of course that also assumes that we DO have another Conservative push into both the House and Senate.
In addition, I am stuck in what could be a swing state, so my vote may actually carry weight. Honestly, my heart hurts that I am going to be in a position to HAVE to vote for him....
I will keep praying and I will keep being appreciative for FR. Thank you for giving us this venue.
Well, I’ve been warning everyone from the time that RudyMcRomney started running several years ago. If an abortionist/homosexualist/pro-amnesty/pro-socialized healthcare, big government RINO wins the Republican nomination it will destroy the GOP and set the conservative movement back a generation or more. Looks like it may come to pass. I will never vote for or support this evil abortionist/homosexualist/socialist bastard!! Back to back RINOS (McCain followed by Romney) and we’re toast as a conservative party.
I like the way PA BOOKENDS put it:
PA BOOKENDS to Jim Robinson
We, on the conservative side, always look at the black vote, scratch out heads, & wonder how it is that so many blacks continue to vote for dems when the policies of the democrat party hurt them so badly.
The dems chuckle and retort, Where else are they gonna go?
It seems that the republican establishment has taken the same attitude toward us conservatives - Where else are they gonna go?
Well, this conservative (I havent identified as a republican since Dole was our choice)intends to send them a message -LOUD AND CLEAR - that my vote is NOT to be taken as a given, because I aint givin it to a RINO.
The more of us who make that choice, the louder & clearer the message. Im with you, Jim.
Reality isn't nice. This is a life and death conversation we're engaged in, if you hadn't noticed.
Yes we can. Take care, and all the best to the both of you.
What was really amazing here on FR was to watch all the toadies - who bashed Newt like crazy back last summer when only a few of us supported him - swing into line within hours when he became the "official candidate".
"Yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir, I've been a Newt man all my life sir!!!"
What I cannot comprehend is why the Republicans establishment and voters have listened to the this nonsense on “electability.” Don't trust the enemy's intelligence reports.
Both Obama and Romney are pro-SodomyIsMarriage, pro-abortion,anti-gun, pro-socialized medicine and will appoint liberal judges.
I’d rather have that liberal agenda labeled as Democrat than Republican. Two years later the congressional elections will swing away from the party that gained the POTUS. That means we will have a chance to block Obama in 2 years. But if Romney gets in, neither the rats nor the establishment republicans are going to stand in the way of Romney’s liberal agenda.
The only downside I see to letting Obama win over Romney is that Israel might fare better under Romney.
But the upside is that faced with another 4 years of Obama, Congress might get serious with him and start enforcing the checks and balances that are supposed to be there.
I can’t in good conscience vote for either candidate because of their pro-abortion pro-sodomy stances.
ditto!
