We will not waste our limited resources on FR in support for a liberal progressive LIAR

A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:

Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.

Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:

Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare

There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!

Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!

But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.

Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!

WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!

No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!

I don’t mind litmus tests, we need to know where people are on issues. I just think calling people idiots and assmunchers and “eff you” isn’t really going to get people to do more investigating and possibly changing their minds on someone.

Once Rick Perry (and Gov Palin before him) was slammed and denegrated on FR, I could see quite clearly that principles meant nothing. So the answer to your question is no.

As another FReeper says in his tagline: ‘Our founding fathers would have been shooting by now’ (not a quote but close enough).

NOT VOTING IS NOT AN OPTION.

If you can't see the differences between Obama and Romney, you have a lot to learn.

I've been on FR 14 years. I have always formed my own opinions and never sought advice on how to vote from FReepers...and FReepers were a lot smarter in those days!

there are many here pimping for RINOmny

Voting against Obama is not necessarily voting for Romney...Changing the party does not come by not electing its presidential candidate...do you think the prospective RINO Senate Committee chairs care a hoot about who is president? They only care about their own chairmanships...

You want to change the party, you vote down ticket as you say for conservatives in house and senate, and get them to lean on the RINO president, if thats the way things go. You keep the fire lit under him the entire time he is there. You don't gain anything by leaving Obama in power.

This thought that 8 years of Bush led us to Obama is hogwash. Intolerance of the so-called (intolerant) conservative to the point of staying home on election night led us to Obama. If staying away from the election booth because McCain was a RINO was supposed to do the party good, explain what that good was please. Explain how that has helped the country please.

The 2010 TEA party movement was a rebellion against Obama and the libs, and yes, big government RINO's, not a rebellion against Bush.

Romney is my last choice and I would have preferred Palin or Newt, but Palin did not follow through and, barring some miracle, Newt ain't going to be the one. I would love to see a Newt upset between now and the convention. But if that does not happen, I will vote ABO even if its Romney because I can raise hell via the congressional Reps to keep him in line if he goes "stupid" while in Office. Obama will not pay one bit of attention to the congressional wishes or the electorate.

I really like and value FR. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. But all the "my way or the highway" attitude is really a turnoff, and I have been watching it escalate lately, or so it seems. Someone made a comment recently about FR marginalizing itself as an extreme site, and I am starting to believe that is what I am seeing. I find myself avoiding the political threads just because I don't have time or energy to devote to the arguing I know will ensue if I make a comment.

I am not looking for anyone's flame or wrath or ban, and not looking to be on JimRob's radar, but this is the honest opinion of one conservative veteran voter.

With utmost respect to Jim and all those in support of his position, I agree with most all of your concerns and thoughts regarding Romney as nominee, but show me a viable alternative to the disaster of Obama. Without this, the Romney complaints are starting to sound like the rants of spoiled kids.

I am signing off now and probably will ignore replies, certainly will ignore the flames I expect will proceed. I expect my thoughts here to fall on deaf ears...but I have been biting my tongue on this subject for some time now and after so many of the "Never Vote Romney" threads where folks like me who believe its most important to rid ourselves of Obama are called "pimps", I felt the need to speak up at least this time.

FRegards

Jim, you and I and 99% of FR will end up voting for Romney simply because the alternative is unthinkable.

I'm saddened to see that you've sold your soul to the devil. Your new tagline is the lock.

I’m not going to give you grief over a vote for Mitt, but he’s not getting my vote only to see me trash him non-stop for four years.  I don’t share his values.  I’m sorry the party couldn’t do better, but consider me out.

That, sir, is the hat trick. I'll be writing in Sarah Palin. Understanding your position, I support your plan.  Sarah is not my cup of tea, but she is yours and you should cast you vote in the manner you wish.

Just a note here to the asshats who are bound to accuse me of "any vote not for Romney is a vote for Obama."  I live in Utah. Romney saved brother (former governor) Leavitt from the Olympics scandal indictments, so they're favorite sons of a feather. It's a MoTown thing. If, God forbid, Romney is the nominee, he'll handily take Utah.  IMO, a no vote for Romney is as much a vote for him, as a vote for Obama.  Either claim is preposterous.  I had a family member say that my non-vote for McCain in 2008 was a vote for Obama.  I responded that they should be happy then, because a no vote for Obama should be seen as a vote for McCain.  They didn't find that humorous.  Glares to the "X".  Har...

BTW, I'm a $2/day FReeper, not a Republican, have never donated to the Republican Party, and will vote my conscience. The Tea Party is alive and kicking, thank you. There are a lot of (R)'s in the house, but the leadership is (R)ino-e.  Over the last 43 years, I have spent all but one of them as a Registered Republican.  I don't think I've ever cast a vote for a Democrat at any level.  While my natural leanings are toward the Republican party since I registered as one at 18 years of age by reasoned choice (alternative was to back the party of Jane Fonda and anti-war, and anti-U.S. designs), when I became aware at what I'd reference as an elevated level, I was not inclined to back liberal actions within it's ranks.

In truth, I have seen Republicans make screw-ups over the years, but they were mostly an anomoly.  During the cold war, we stood as one against Communism and it's treachery.  Once the U. S. S. R. disolved, some within our ranks seemed to think it would be okay to move farther Left, actually buying into their concepts.  Others were merely luke warm Republicans, nowhere near the lock-step of those who hold this nation dear, and are not willing to sell out on Soverignty, our Founding Documents, or our Founding Fathers and their ideals and concepts.

Further note to "Republicans": y'all best be replacing the clowns at the top of your (R) establishment. In my estimation, they suck more than the out-of-the-closet communist (D)'s. At least the commies are committed to their effort, and the bastards are accomplishing what they set out to do, unlike the spineless Stupid Party. "Spineless, stupid party..", boy does that hit the nail on the head.  The current House of Representatives is an embarrassment to Conservatism.  I am constantly motivated to apologize to the Citizens of the United States for the House's lack of clarity and energy in defense of our national soul.  This is top level treachery IMO.

Brokered convention? Hmmmm. Romney beats the Halfrican? Hmmmm. Romney's coattails drag a majority of Tea Party candidates to the Senate? Hmmmm. What could possibly go wrong?  Well, if they fall in line behind Romney and pass his desires with gusto, we could be in a world of hurt.  Taking note of his past judicial nominees, it disgusts me to think he and not Obama might be the person to flip the court.  If they stand up to him, we might dodge the bullet.  Frankly, with what we're presented with, a deadlocked federal government should be best.  Then again, Obama will attempt to rule by Executive Order, thumbing his nose at our three branch government model.  And of course the Republicans will be mute.

See ya in the gulag.
...he said with 25% humor and 75% real concern.  I hear ya.

It shows how weak the position of many here actually is when the second they suspect someone of voting against that obama thing they moronically whine “romney supporter!!!” Same clowns probably ‘think’ Ike was a Commie for taking sides with the Russians to kill Nazis.

I have said this several times now...I am not happy with Romney, but I believe he has the nomination. I will vote for Romney in order to defeat Obama. No one here has posted a single better alternative. Most of the posts are about staying home, staying true. That act will guarantee a second Obama administration. How is that better than a Romney administration?

Obama is the enemy, not Romney. I wanted Palin, then Perry, then Newt. We are getting Romney. We just need to defeat the greatest existential threat to the country: Obama. I am not happy, but there it is.

And I'm saddened to see that you and others are doing politically what Hitler and every other statist have always done: characterize every other politics but your own as unmitigated evil. You have abandoned reality for tribalism. Bone-in-the-nose award to you.

Thank you for reminding me what Breitbart said. If Obama gets re-elected he will have a mandate. That really frightens me because, for sure, the Occupy movement, the unions, and people like Jackson, Sharpton, Pelosi, Jackson Lee, and the New Black Panthers will all be controlling our lives. Do I want that...NO.

Do I want to give Obama the chance to really destroy our economic strength and status, to shame us throughout the world, to continue to chip away at our moral and Christian values, to insert Sharia law and support Muslim advances to take over our country, and to change our Constitution and rights...A BIG NO!

I really don't care for Romney, I know his faults and am not stupid. But, even if his conservative record is not strong, even with the falsehoods and his liberal leaning past policies, and even though he is another "insider" I doubt that he will let the unions, the Occupiers, the Muslims, and the Sharpton-types run wild and continue on their anti-American/anti-Capitalism/anti-Christian/race and class warfare paths.

I guess I have to decide if I want to get part of the pie, or give it all up to those who want to destroy what remains whole and beautiful about our country. If there is a reasonable chance that Newt can save us from both Obama and Romney I will thank God. But without that chance, I have to go with the man who is, at least, an American ... a man who believes in and worships God, says the Pledge of Allegiance with respect and honor, has a wife who is proud of this country, and whose goals for this country, though not as conservative as my own, are not for us to be a nation second to any other country.

I’m late to the party on this thread but as I stated on another forum...I’m voting for Newt. FR has pushed Palin as a write-in vote but I’m writing in the person who wants the job..Newt Gingrich. No discussion about it. The GOP can go to heck!

You are excerpting my comments with the same degree of accuracy that NBC edited the Zimmerman tape.

I wrote: Assume hypothetically that you had objected to Bush as much as you do Romney. Thus, if only 25% of the 2000+Florida Freepers had followed your advice and NOT voted for Bush, then Gore would be president.

That is indisputable..
