BROOKLYN, Ohio (AP) Police shot and killed an armed man at a crowded Cracker Barrel restaurant where a woman and a girl had been killed and another person was wounded, sending customers fleeing out the back door.
The restaurant said the violence appeared to be the result of a domestic dispute between two customers. Authorities said a woman called 911 from the restaurant Thursday night, saying her husband was upset because she told him she was leaving him. He left the restaurant and was circling the parking lot, the woman told police.

You usually have to go to a birthday party at Chuckie Cheese to experience this level of violence.
Absolutely!
Now, lets get back to the menu...
I cannot imagine a less likely homicide scene.
Ironically, that may not be the case. As in the Great Depression, large scale economics does not seem to be a major driving force to such violence. Those who do get violent due to having money problems do so even when the economy is booming, so the statistics stay about the same.
In a downturn, though many people are economically hard off, there doesn’t seem to be much direct translation to their family life.
And while most people assume a financial windfall might be as destructive, unless it does so immediately, it too will not usually matter too much.
“For restaurant attempt of Home Cooking CB isnt too bad. I like the catfish and red beans.”
That is kind of my take. Menu selection is old school, which I like. Alas, prepared in big steel vats somewhere distant, instead of a good iron skillet right there.
Looks a few cards short.
“I cannot imagine a less likely homicide scene.”
Why would you think that?
Members of a violent and undesirable element of the population can enter into any business or scene in the country.
Now we see violent actions such as this taking place far too often in our country. Look at what happened in NH last yesterday or what occurs on any given weekend in Chicago, Detroit or New Orleans.
I like Cracker Barrel Food But I Hate their Restaurants. They shove you up against other Tables and the acoustics in those places approach the pain threshold. It always feels like I am eating in a barn with a million chickens squawking constantly!
“Why would you think that?”
Because the food and ambiance are downright soporific, the average age in there is probably 55 - 62 and no except a few of the staff move with any sense of purpose far less go berserk. This is not Lucky’s Lounge down along Industrial Canal.
were they wearing Hoodies???
Violent thugs can be anywhere, from Lucky’s Lounge to the Cracker Barrel.
I had no idea Cracker Barrels were so dangerous, Jim.
Shooter is 51 years old. I’m 54. This guy looks old enough to be my dad. Weird.
I don’t believe this had anything to do with the economy. The wife decided to tell her husband she was leaving him in a public place with her two daughters present. Domestic violence experts will tell you that the most dangerous time for a woman who is being abused is when she leaves.
I have a hunch this guy was an abuser. I also think that may be why the lady wanted to tell him in a public place. I think she was already concerned over her safety. She may even have told him with the children there thinking they would be a deterrent to this idiot.
It’s important that women know that if they are in an abusive situation, they need to make very careful and methodical plans on how to plan their exit strategy.
Meanwhile, not only did he kill the wife and one daughter, the other daughter is in critical condition at Metro. Very sad. Prayers for her and the rest of the family, who live in my community.
Sheila says stay away from their meatloaf.
Sage advice there, Jim. Thank her for me!
I was just reminiscing about PoFolks just the other day. I miss them...apparently, they shrunk to the South and West.
I am aware of that. I spoke of the unlikely, not the impossible.
