This is a stupid bust. If they had a warrant to get his firearms after the domestic and they saw the steroids during the pick up, they could have busted him right then. You don’t need a warrant to arrest someone if their action is in plain sight and you’re legally allowed to be in their home.
This is so sad and I understand two of the wounded cops are in critical condition.
Yup. And the steroids were taken from the home in July, 2010!

In NH you don’t need a warrant to take firearms, during a domestic arrest.
“Mutrie was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled drug last May for having a variety of anabolic steroids, court documents show.” per the Union Leader
For your information, an arrest takes place before someone is indicted.
