Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

This is why I don't belong at Redstate. Someone commented that they can't stand to vote for either Romney or Obama. Here's what the moderators think...

it is your account and you can burn it down if you please streiff (Diary) Thursday, April 12th at 1:07PM EDT (link) but the nanosecond after Romney accepts the nomination, that comment will get you banned. This is not a threat, it is just the way we do business in election years.

I don’t know what is going to happen to Newt, or why he should give a rip about us, who sit around here pecking our own to death, but he is still IN, and he is still STANDING, and he is BROKE, and he is the TARGET of the GOP-E and the Marxists.

To me, that means something. He is known for his enemies and they are legion. He is known for being the ONLY one who EVER caused any of them an ounce of grief.

Newt can be losing and they still target him.

Santorum could be winning and they didn’t even bother with him. No threat. Never was.

Ron Paul they ignore entirely.

ONLY NEWT.

While we stroke our beards and pontificate, there is one conservative still standing. ALONE.

THAT FACT irritates ALL the right people.

Go wee wee off your vote and energy for some guy, whom no one in power fears.

I stick with Newt to 1144.

Go snap your towel elsewhere before you throw it in entirely, but don’t lecture me on any flaws of Newt’s when he is the only one left willing to stare down Romney and take all the heat coming for doing so.

It’s very, very possible for a new party to rise in full strength within a few months.

If they were united, perhaps. But just look around here, there's almost nil chance of that happening. Propose someone you like to lead this new party and see what kind of response you get.

The problem ain't the party.

I am well aware of that and don’t need you to remind me but saying it isn’t anti-Romney not true. He hasn’t even won the nomination but day after day here on FR, over and over people saying he is worse or as bad as o bama. I disagree and I’m done with this conversation.

Ok, lets play, Romneybot.

Santorum’s Pennsylvania buddy Mark Levin has already endorsed Romney on his show. You wait and see, after Romney wins the Pennsylvania primary, Santorum will endorse if asked, and also has a D.C. job waiting.

The “evangelicals” who supported Santorum were taken for a ride, and now are sheepishly going with Romney like the other Santorum supporters.

What we really need is for the progressives in the party to take their thumbs off the scale and stop writing the rules to favor their hand-picked liberal candidates.

Like Romney.

said they would not run.

I agree, that's the beginning of how we got here and made all the rest much more difficult.

thanks for your reply.

Thank you, you rebel you. ;)

We're on the same page. I think Santorum had a significantly better chance than Gingrich, and said so repeatedly.

He's not running. Gingrich is. So let's back Gingrich.

BTW, here are Santorum’s reasons for dropping out — he was running out of money and didn't want to go into debt. As conservatives, I think we need to respect that. Some businessmen are willing to take on debt to revive a business in trouble. Some will close the doors. I can respect both decisions.

Aren't those delegates now free to vote as they choose?

I need to research this but I think the RNC rules are that the candidates are allowed to release his delegates on the first vote, Santorum will not do that because I think the fix is in. But Like I said I am still researching this. I will let you know.

So, you are telling us that you are nothing more than a professional (heavy thinker) student who really does not offer the world anything other than heavy thinking and little doing?

I believe everyone has “pegged” you correctly here.

What game are we playing? The “Let’s Agree” Game?

Of course Santorum will endorse Romney. And from these comments, so will Newt...and from her comments, so will Palin.

And if they had got on the same page early on, then one of them could’ve beaten Romney in the primaries and we wouldn’t have this problem.

I'M VOTING FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS.

Respectfully, I disagree with your premise. Here is why.

Why I am NEVER voting for Romney, even if he is the GOP nominee (shudder)

Many people, online and in-person, have started to shrug and say, "Oh well. Looks like Romney's gonna get the Republican nomination. I'll have to hold my nose and vote for him, like I voted for McCain.and all the other RINOs the GOP have shoved at us. After all, if he's only 80-90% like Obama then he's at least a little better than him, right?"

WRONG. and here’s why.

If Myth does 90% of what Zer0 does, he will do it WITH AN R NEXT TO HIS NAME.

What does this do? Well, Republicans in Congress who would otherwise balk at lib legislation if it were proposed by Zer0 WILL SIGN ON TO THE LEGISLATION BECAUSE IT IS PROPOSED BY THE LEADER OF THE GOP.

Imagine: amnesty, “tax fairness”, gutting the military and so much more ALL SAILING THROUGH CONGRESS because a “Republican” is at the helm of America. Contrast this with a second Obozo presidency where the GOP will dig in their heels and at least try to fight.

Yeah, I said it. An Obummer presidency is better for America than a Myth presidency (in the way that a cowpie sandwich is better than a meal of broken glass).

This is why we have to have a NOT-ROMNEY at the top of the ticket if we are to have any hope of digging America out of this hole we’re in. And if we don't, God help us... but I still WON'T vote for him. I'll vote for whichever acceptable, conservative 3rd party candidate is running (so my protest vote will have the most impact), or I'll write one in.

As JimRob says. NO ROMNEY, NO WAY!!

sam,I think thaqt Santorum will have a chance to show his true colors very shortly.

If he releases his delegates to Gingrich, we know he is being true to his beleiefs.

If he releases them to Romney, well, that will speak volumes of his true beliefs and purpose in this race. And what he thinks of those who voted for him and not Romney.

Romney counts even unpledged delegates to his total—so he is nowhere near the finish line, nor as much as he and the GOP-E would like us to think he is.

This is not over, not yet.

Message loud, clear and over target. I believe if you don’t vote for the person most in agreement with your views, your views will never be known and you will have wasted your vote.

Losing isn’t the worse thing. Abandoning your principles is.

surely the republicans didn’t go along with them.

Knowing mojitojoe that you are an intelligent person, and knowing you know the answer to your question, my thought is you understand your post and the above notation in italics. Someone please say it is not true, and Kagan and the wise Latino were never confirmed. Nobody can say (we) Conservatives did not try to stop them, and then there are the head butts to Conservatives from the gop-e. Head hurts but still moving forward.

Okay. So you would not be his VP. And you don’t expect to be asked, you’re on the same footing with Newt.

So You won’t vote for Mitt, you wouldn’t be his VP if he asked you, but you’ll vote for the guy who says he would not say no to being Mitt’s VP. Newt and you don’t expect to be asked but only you will rule it out, even though Newt’s chances of being asked, frankly, are a lot higher than yours. I mean if you had to bet who do you think Mitt would ask, you or Newt?

You think Newt won’t vote for Romney if he’s the Republican candidate? I know what you think that makes ordinary people here on FR. Does that make Newt the same thing? What does that then make you if you vote for Newt?

I am not saying this to absolve Romney. I am trying to get you to realize Newt is not the conservative’s answer because he isn’t a conservative. Conservatives do not do climate change commercials with Nancy Pelosi and give support to the liberal take on global warming. Conservatives do not trash Paul Ryan’s budget plans as being “too radical”. Conservatives do not come out in support of the individual mandate style of healthcare. Conservatives do not say that to meet the challenges of our generation we need to combine what he considers the best qualities of FDR and Reagan. Conservatives are not in favor of the artficial market and subsidies of ethanol.

If a candidate other than Romney is the answer, which I believe is correct, it better be someone other than Newt. Preferably getting one of the conservatives who didn’t run, to understand the seriousness of what we’re facing, and decide to run. It’s the only thing that will energize the conservative base. True conservatives are the only chance to energize the conservative base.

Have been burned twice in the nomination process, sam. Not endorsing anyone, though I do like Newt. Like Sarah, and Herman too. Still wondering what am going to do except Congressional races (local and state still up in the air), though cannot support mittens or zer0. Realize will be told am supporting zer0 because will not support mittens. Sometimes to make a stand one must not make a retreat.
