It was a fable for our times:
Once upon a time, a nice young man set off from his dad's fiancée's home before the NBA All-Star game to buy some Skittles and Arizona Tea for his stepbrother. Although the lad was seventeen, he looked like a cute twelve-year-old. Along came a burly ex-con racist vigilante who didn't like the idea of a young African-American male walking around his gated community at night. The cop-wannabe stalked the frightened boy, cornered him, and then shot him. But the racist police didn't arrest the murderer. The conscience of the nation was stirred. Protests erupted from coast to coast. The gunning down of young, unarmed black males by white Rambos -- and the occasional "white Hispanic" -- is an all-too-common occurrence in the US of A.
Now the MSM narrative is unraveling, thanks to Al Gore's nifty invention, the internet. The average MSNBC viewer may not have the smarts and curiosity to do a Google search, but other people do. A lot of the searches wind up at the sites of the Orlando Sentinel and the city's Fox affiliate, Channel 35, both of which have provided good coverage.
Now other local papers are running stories about the "complexity" of the case.
We've learned a little more about Trayvon Martin. Since his record of suspensions and his posts and pictures, with tats and grill, from his Myspace and Twitter accounts surfaced on the web, columnists are less likely to enthuse about him, as a WaPo blogger did on March 18:
By all accounts, Trayvon was a good kid[.] ... He had dreams of becoming a pilot. He was good at math. ... Trayvon's English teacher described him "as an A and B student who majored in cheerfulness."

With all due respect.....no, they won't. The reasons are very simple: There is strength in numbers, and they tend to be quite cowardly (it's actually quite rare to read of a black-attacking-white story where it's a 1-on-1). They will stay where they can maraud en mass, meaning the cities.
Venturing into the burbs does two things that they don't want: First, they dilute the 'power' of their numbers congregated in one locale, and second....they face a LOT of white homeowners armed to the teeth.
Oh yes....and there's that little detail of "how would they actually GET to the 'burbs......".

Precisely. Many of us here are quite typical. We’re peace-loving conservatives, but by God we are armed and WILL defend ourselves, our loved ones, and our property. We have the means and the will to do so.

Most of that was punitive damages, and what the press didn't emphasis in reporting was that the punitive damages award was reversed.

I guarantee that heading for rural areas may be the last trip any bent on retribution and crime will ever make. Rural areas like mine are chock full of folks who know how to defend themselves. I can count on one hand the number of neighbors who don’t hunt or have weapons for protection. We aren’t soft targets nor will we ever be.
It’s more than that. They’re unlikely to travel out of familiar territory, become lost and isolated when there are plenty of targets nearby. If rioting starts, and right now it looks like it won’t, but this issue is getting heavy and very biased airplay on black radio, the riots will be in black neighborhoods targeting large businesses and Koreans, West Asians, etc. Any store owner or successful person is a target.
I’ve never personally seen a gang fight in which the attackers didn’t have a less than 7 to 1 advantage. I’ve seen several where the advantage was 20-40 to 1. It was scary.

My earlier point exactly. They are, by nature, cowards. They will only attack in swarms. Picking on one or two at a time with a swarm of thugs in the ‘hood is one thing; taking on a heavily armed white neighborhood is a WHOLE different story.
