Whitney Houston's body was ravaged by scars, cuts and burns when she died, autopsy details showed.

Years of drug and alcohol abuse had left the "Bodyguard" star with a damaged heart and liver, a hole in her nose and 11 front teeth missing.

She also had a needle mark on one arm and was high on a cocktail of nine drugs when she died in a hotel bath in Los Angeles on Feb. 11, 2012.

But the official cause of death was still defined as “accidental drowning” with contributing factors.

That will sound a lot better in the coming biographies and bio-pic than “crazy as an outhouse rat from long years of drug abuse”.

You're seriously that dense? Her autopsy drives home and reinforces the fact that Christie ordered the flags flown at half staff for a lousy, celebrity junkie. The defenders of his action wanted to reserve judgment until the autopsy because they were defending the fact that she had *cleaned-up* her life.

....................She climbed into a 160-degF “bath”..................

I find that temperature highly questionable! She coulda’ gone to McDonalds and let hot coffee singe her privates and make a coupla million!

I am sorry. She was beautiful and had a great voice.

I’ve seen it given as 150 in some articles and 160 in others, but either way, that’s too freakin’ hot. Normally 120 is considered about right, 130 is extremely hot, and 140 is dangerously hot.

Haha...your moniker fits you well.

Her autopsy drives home and reinforces the fact that Christie ordered the flags flown at half staff for a lousy, celebrity junkie.

It does doesn't it?

What Christy did was of his own stupid volition, it has nothing to do with the unfortunate demise of Houston and her circumstances, he chose to do it.

Again, it has nothing to do with this thread and her autopsy results.

Dye your hair Brunette, maybe then you'll learn to differentiate ;)

“... every fallen service member from New Jersey has received the honor during [Christie’s] administration.”

Thanks for the answer. It was a legitimate question.

Isn’t it amazing how some of the members have a bizarre need to deify a self destructive disco diva?

The comment was perfectly appropriate and had everything to do with the subject of Whitney Houston.

I wasn’t expecting an attack a pop-diva fanatic, thanks for the support!

“She climbed into a 160-degF “bath” and drowned”

On her own? I don’t know about you, but not even with sedatives, nor after major surgery on a morphine drip, would I put more than a briefly-immersed toe into 160-degree water.

I am sorry. She was beautiful and had a great voice.

Yes, her singing came from great courage, and invoked enormous energy. Sometimes I think the reason so many performing artists get into drugs is that the energy that pours through them from having millions of people focus on them is literally unbearable. So they turn to drugs to help moderate the effect, and then the drugs take their inevitable course.

People are so very quick to damn. So many people seem to be religious just to have a position from which to pronounce the failings of others, and lick the tasty treat of the idea of them in hell.

When in actuality, they never faced on their darkest day, what the victims of their scorn had to endure for years.

It reminds me of that warning in the Bible: "I know you not."

I have many fond memories of her music as I came of age in the 80’s.

I’m from the same era, but my tastes ran more towards Led Zepplin and AC/DC.

Of course, when Bon Scott and Jon Bonham chocked to death on their own vomit, their deaths were due to foolish and self destructive behavior.

That didn’t change the fact that they were great artists. The fact that they were great artists didn’t change the fact that they died foolishly.

Whitney Houston’s death was sad, unfortunate and unnecessary. She was a pop diva.

Go figure.

Being from Vegas, he just bets on one number on the wheel, I my guess.

(Besides, he hit me first, pissed that I preempted his planned "her music will last forever" post.)

What does Houston's autopsy have to do with Cristy's flying a flag at half staff?

How does she warrant the same honors as those given to fallen warriors?

If you think her music has earned her such honors, I'll remind you of your words...”Yet she made more money then you will ever see in your life time.”

Between money, grammies and fame, she has already received honors and recognition.

Jimmy Page is a great artist. I'll be just as annoyed if our flag is flown at half staff when he dies.

Our flag is more than a piece of cloth and it should not be flown at half staff with such wanton disregard for its prestige.

The only answer is a turning to Jesus Christ and the renewing of America’s moral heritage

Thank you for the only sane comment I’ve read here (including mine)!
