A tip to Crimeline has led to the arrests of two men in a brutal beating that occurred a week ago in the Midway community east of Sanford.
Julius Ricardo Bender, 18, and Yahaziel Isaac Israel, 19, face charges of attempted first-degree murder, burglary with assault or battery and armed burglary.
The victim, a 50-year-old Winter Springs man whose name has not been released, is on life-support at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Getting one’s head beaten against a concrete walkway is a lot like getting beaten with a hammer, just a different weapon. Martin, the innocent “unarmed child,” was doing his level best to murder Zimmerman, a clear act of attempted murder. When Zimmetman legitimately shot him in legal self-defense, Martin got exactly what he deserved, a well-earned and totally appropriate Darwin Award.

I wrote to the author of the article and asked when they were going to release the NAME of the victim. Here is his reply:
“The victim was white. It is Orlando Sentinel policy to not use race of people we write about unless it is pertinent to the story, such as the description of suspects or in the case of the Sanford shooting when the family of the victim made it an issue. If investigators determine this is a hate crime, we will use the race. The Sheriff’s Office has withheld the name because he is on life-support and will likely not make it.”

Mine too. ME said it had to “clean computer”....I swear. I’m tired of trying to be less overt in my comments about Holder’s People. When they commit crimes, we often get a chance to see their punk visages, while not being told the victim is/was white - i.e., not black.

Zimmerman's story has not been well circulated, but it has a series of events, ending with the shooting. His version has him taking a beating, no effort on his part to use deadly force. He shifts his body so his head would be slammed to the grass instead of to the sidewalk, and in shifting, exposes his holstered pistol. Details murky here as to who grabbed for the gun first, but on seeing the pistol, Trayvon Martin uttered a death threat. There was a struggle over who would possess the pistol. This is after taking 45 seconds - 75 seconds of beating.

And bashing someone's head against a sidewalk can lead to brain injury or death as well. The perps who did this are barely older than Trayvon.
But we won't see condemnation of this incident by the Sharptons of the world. And if you FReepers who bashed Zimmerman had any integrity, you would come to this thread and eat the crow you deserve.
So, the family of the victim can make the race of the attackers an issue. Assert the attack was racially motivated.

Think the “murky details” might be cleared up with forensic test revealed: Who has powder on hands, angle of gunshot, etc.

Well, I was referring to the murk of Zimmerman's story, which hasn't been told to us directly. We have his father and brother speaking. We also don;t have George's statements and recordings during the hours of questioning immediately following the shooting.
I agree that forensic evidence would either support or contradict his story; most likely support it because the police had the forensic evidence as they questioned Zimmerman, and they had no concern, that I am aware of (other than this rumor that Serino had a different opinion), that Zimmerman's narrative and forensic evidence had any contradiction.

Of course. Nothing odd or wrong about that. The impression I wanted to leave was that Zimmerman didn't shoot because his head was getting smashed - he shot because Martin mounted a credible threat to shoot him, with Zimmerman's own gun.

They leave out the other incident mentioned in the Zimmerman family member's letter where George was supporting the black community in insisting that the son of a police Lt, who had beaten a homeless black, be arrested.
Tension was high before the death of Martin. Cool heads need to look at just the facts in his death, unfortunately because of the two previous incident people in the community do not trust LEO to do the right thing. GZ ironically is the scapegoat for the dysfunctional community.
The REV MSM and lawyer race baiters are throwing gas on the flame. A paper trying to minimize the issue is good IMO.

I live here. There is no brewing racial tension at all. The beating of the homeless man happened quite some time ago and never garnered a FRACTION of the attention that this obama/race issue is.
If someone compiled a list of crimes where the victims were white and the perps black and put it next to a list where the victims were black and the perps white, I wonder which one would be longer.
How about the elderly couple in Tulsa who were attacked by black “teens”. The woman (85) was raped and beaten and died the next day. Her husband (90) was beaten but recovered, at least for now.
Then there was the white boy in KC attacked by black teens saying the white boy got what he deserved. They doused him with gasoline and set him on fire. He recovered.
If Al and Jesse want to play this game, then let’s look at the evidence.
