Why do too many people view a life threatening attack as not a life threatening attack?

I think one problem with Israel (no basis for this "I think", just a gut feeling .. )regarding anything to do with Jesus is they haven't accepted Him as Messiah so, it's good tourist business and the such, but it ain't Sarah's tomb.
