Apparently Obama is planning to approve windmills in the Great Lakes. Also, does anyone have information on the attitude of the Virginia Republican administration to the off shore oil drilling idea, and how they feel it might affect their beautiful beaches?
Apparently Obama is planning to approve windmills in the Great Lakes.
Why? All they need to do is figure out how to collect all the spewage coming out of our windbag leader. We could power the entire Earth and beyond!
While everyone except environmentalists are all for drilling offshore in Virginia, Obama continues to be the brick wall he has always intended to be when it comes to our nation being energy self-sufficient (windmills that kill birds and solar companies that go bankrupt excepted). Even democrats have attempted to free-up offshore drilling in Virgina, as noted below:

Snip: Republican congressman Scott Rigell of Virginia Beach intends to introduce legislation that would force the Department of the Interior to sell leases to companies interested in drilling off the coast of Virginia, at least 50 miles out. Both of Virginia’s senators, Democrats Jim Webb and Mark Warner, had introduced a similar bill last year, but it remains mired in the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.
