President Obama reflected on the hardest moment of his life in a video released by the campaign, pointing to his daughter Sasha's illness when she was an infant.
"People ask me what was the hardest time in my life — they ask, well what about during the debt ceiling debate and this and that and the other thing," Obama said. "Sasha got meningitis when she was 3 months old. I still remember going to the hospital together and they had to give her a spinal tap."
"Your world narrows to this very small point," Obama said, about her illness.. "There's one thing you care about and you don't care about anything else."
Obama's remarks came during a dinner with six supporters at a Washington D.C. restaurant earlier this month

If that really happened — and you have to question it — I can sympathize with him in such a trying time.
Still, I have the feeling that he would sacrifice little Sasha to Molech in the blink of an eye if he thought it was necessary and would work to get him reelected. You know, for the greater good.
False, she didn’t have menegitis. It was a scare. I went through the same thing with my 6 week old daughter. It was a bad expereience but not the hardest moment of my life by far. If this is his “hardest” moment, then wow, what a wuss.
One would think he doesn’t have to play this card unless he were behind Romney. With him up by double-digits in some polls, it strikes me as a bit odd Obama would pull out the “I’m really human” tactic.

The President’s deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, said she’s astonished the Republican presidential candidate would criticize Obama for allowing his teen daughter to go on a school trip to Mexico.
She argued children shouldn’t be targeted on the campaign trail.
“I think that children, for candidate purposes, have always been off-limits in presidential campaigns, and really any campaign,” Cutter told MSNBC on Wednesday. “I’m surprised that Rick Santorum wouldn’t agree with that.”
