Stick a Fork in Santorum... He's Done
Townhall.com ^ | March 25, 2012 | Doug Giles

Posted on 03/25/2012 12:58:34 AM PDT by Kaslin

I think the fog of the campaign war is getting to Santorum because he said last Thursday in San Antone that there is “little difference” between Romney and Obama, and we might as well stick with Barack. “Little” my skinny white backside! Dial down, Richard. I think Santorum should have stayed down in Puerto Rico for an extra couple days of R&R to gain his composure because the disparity betwixt Mitt & B. Hussein is humongous.

Now, for the record I’m not a Romney cheerleader; I voted for Newt in the Florida primary, hoping against hope that maybe, just maybe, we’d get to see Gingrich dust Obama in the presidential debates. But alas, that ain’t going to happen.

That said, if Rick were to get the nod (which he probably won’t), I would vote for him versus BHO any ol’ day. For that matter, if my uncle Slappy Giles, who sells moon crickets and Chattahoochee jig worms down by Harper’s Swamp, were the GOP’s pick, I’d vote for that toothless, brainless bastard because I know he at least digs America and that for which she stands. Obama? Let’s just say I’m getting a different read.

Now, before the Santorumites queue up to send me their hate mail, do you really, really think there’s very little difference between Romney and Obama?

Look, I get it. BHO will bash Mitt for his Romneycare hypocrisy. And I know Mitt, heretofore, changed his political mind every two years. And like the Visa Card, historically he has been everywhere you want him to be. But to say that he’s the same as Obama is like saying getting kicked in the nuts by a two-year-old is the same as getting kicked in the nuts by Chuck Norris. Yes, our boys might get pummeled, but there is a huge difference in the extent and depth of pain and damage delivered by a Chuck versus a child, capice?

For instance, do you guys who buy this “little difference” nonsense think that Romney will bypass Congress and give Egypt’s bat crap crazy America/Israel-hating Muslim Brotherhood $1.5 billion for their demented military? I don’t.

Also, I don’t think Mitt is going to get endorsements from Hamas, various and ubiquitous communist parties at home and abroad, nor from Hollywood and their America-loathing lovelies. Nor do I believe Romney would run up our debt and destabilize our economy like BHO has purposely done.

Here’s the difference, at least to me, between Mitt and Barack: Obama is a disaster with the caps lock ON. Romney, I believe—and so did Santorum in 2008—will be a true relief from the socialism BHO’s been trying to saddle us with these last three debt-addled years. However, if it turns out that Mitt, too, should suck, I will dare to predict that what he’ll do in the White House will suck less than the subterranean suckiness that we are dealing with now. What do you think, Dinky?

In summation, I’m in agreement with the late Andrew Breitbart, who told me last February at CPAC at the hotel bar that he is for “anybody but Obama!”

No, like Santorum said, there is not enough difference between Romney and Obama for Romney to beat him, so a vote for Romney supports four more years of Obama.

A socialist is as a socialist does. Just ask the people of Massachusetts about Romneycare.

I guess it all comes down to whether or not Romney is a globalist...

Hey, Doug, everything on the inside has been so crappy against Newt, let's give the nod to Newt so he can debate Obama and make people pay for it. All money to charity. One for Breibart, for America and rage against the machine. Send Romney back to firing workers while Ann can meet some new republican friends who just lost their jobs. Or give us Palin.

I can’t stand Romney.... But....

I, for one, will certainly NOT be sitting home pouting this election day, that’s for sure.

Great article from Doug. I agree with his feelings 100%. (Little Ricky IS toast.) But, the only problem is that Romney is a disaster with the caps lock ON. And he can't come close to winning the general against Obama. I heard today that some poll has Mitt at 40%. So 60% is against him, and that's not going to get better.

The idiot republican party has an excellent chance of nominating this Mitt, and if it does, we will have another four years of Obama. If, by a very remote chance Mitt doesn't get the 1144, and we have an open convention, we might get saved. I'm for Newt, but I'm open for MANY others- Sarah, Ryan, DeMint, even Hucabee (never thought I'd say that, but he would be preferable to Mitt) and there are several others that I would prefer over Mitt.

A vote for Obama is a vote for the devil himself. That's for sure.

There, I fixed it.

It was Santorum's Howard Dean moment. He was echoing George Soros, who actually said it.

Many people will look at it and say, because they are so very similar, why would we upset the apple cart, just to change colors? Just to change which palms are greased?

May as well let Obama do his thing...rather thatn someone having to start all over. Obama’s learning curve is over...Romney’s would just be beginning.

(Little Ricky IS toast.)

Someone forgot to tell Louisiana.

That's the thing about those silly Cajun b*stards. They voted for Barry Goldwater in 1964 after LBJ's henches had told them Barry would tear up all their government checks. They voted for George C. Wallace in 1968 after LIFE magazine ran its famous "Wallace in the Flames of Hell" cover and accompanying story explaining how bad-awful-apocalyptic George Wallace was. And they voted for Dick Nixon in 1972 (how dare they!) and Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984. And they voted for Dubya! How backward and perverse can people be?

And now they've done it -- they voted for Rick Santorum, throwing their votes away just like they did in 1980 when they voted for Ronnie.

Can't anybody he'p these people to git thar mahnds raht?

Thanks, FRiend, keep running that graphical reminder of the net worth, now and in November, of a vote cast for Bishop Willard Romney.

Mitt is absolutely the worst Candidate we could possibly have/ He does not have the fire in the belly to run and give Obama a real fight. He is too much of a Mamby Pamby, MaMa’s boy. He is not used to getting down and dirty and really making a contest out of it. Obama will eat him alive, with lies half truths. Give me a raker and a scraper every time.

Oh, he gets down and dirty all right - as long as its another Republican he can ruin. I seriously doubt he’ll go after obama the same way he has his fellow Republicans. McCain redux. Look how nasty McCain was against his opponent in AZ in 2010 - and what a light weight he was against obama.

McNasty is probably advising Mittens on how to destroy the conservatives in the race. I wouldn’t put it past the backstabbing, Dem-lite traitor.

Romney is so plastic. As you said, no fire in the belly. I wonder why he wants to be president - it sure isn’t because of the money. I wish I could believe its for the good of the country, but, I’m not sure of that either. Something just isn’t right about him.

We aren’t going to win with a moderate candidate. What part of this doesn’t the GOP-E understand? Why do they insist on strapping us with a DEM lite?

I disagree. There is little important difference between the 2 liberals Rombama and his friend Obamney.
