The story began with a gaffe by Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom, who responded to a CNN reporters question about whether his candidate had moved too far to the right in the primary by comparing the campaign to a certain childrens toy.
This wasn't a gaffe, it was the truth that accidently slipped out.
Romney's staff, just like Romney are liars.

I must say, “what goes around comes around”.
A fine little Obama/media/opposition attack on Romney, but hardly of the Bloody Thursday caliber the Romney/media/GOP-E brought against Newt in Florida, and that Santorum chimed in on, just to once more be seen lending an assist to the GOP-E, in the kill.
Pulverized for daring to fight back, called “mean” and “cantankerous” Newt was brought even lower by his enemies. And ours.

A “Gaffe” is defined as a politician accidentally speaking the truth.
