Newt is looking more and more by the day as the Ron Paul campaign, only in there to split the votes.

...and, unfortunately, Rick claiming the election has nothing to do with the economy and that he does not care about the unemployment rate. I was wondering if McCain’s campaign staff are advising Rick.

Newt gave it a good shot, but unfortunately the voters don’t want him. He needs to swallow his pride and pack it in. It’s over for him and he will not win the nomination.

The same is true of Santorum, so I guess it's off to Mitt we go...

The Drudge Report is exploding with old quotes and videos of Newt Gingrich saying things such as, ‘The Reagan Administration has failed’ and ‘If Bush runs as a continuation of Reaganism he will lose’.

In February of 2011, a man called into the Rush Limbaugh show and said he believes the reason Newt Gingrich wrote a book on Ronald Reagan was for the 2012 elections and because Limbaugh called him out after Gingrich stated that the era of Reagan was over.

There is a whole context here that you have conveniently left out, and usually I would take the time to laboriously and verifiably set you straight, but I don't do that anymore. Santorum supporters are too stubborn, too closed minded, too sanctimonious to waste any more time on. I hope you understand.

What are you doing trying to drive traffic to Drudge's site?

And, by all means, if a caller to rush's show said that, it must be a bona fide, pure and simple, or if it was stated on some blog somewhere. I really sort of have this feeling that Newt could care less what rush says or thinks about him.. I know that contradicts Rush's the-world-revolves-around-me mindset, but that's my feeling anyway.

“Meanwhile, Santorum had this demeanor”

Wait til he tries to debate Barky. You will see this same look.

Well I was googling on what Gingrich had said on Reagan and came up with that link from the Media Rreseach Center. He does seem to have changed his views over the years.

With only 120 delegates to his name, Gingrich needs to pack it in. This is becoming an embarrassment.

It is comical. His campaign is COMPLETELY insignificant. I don’t care if he stays or not. Why not have him continue getting his fourth place finishes. It gives him something to do. He has only stolen two states from Rick Santorum....big egomaniac that he is.

Only one deer in the headline look during the debates and that was Newt in the Florida Debate when Romney (of all people) shocked Newt out of his mind about him owning Freddie/Fannie stock in his portfolio. That was the EXACT moment Newt lost the nomination. Talk about a huge embarrassment. Thank God we still had Santorum to get behind.

Newt cannot be the nominee at the Convention without winning 5 states. He has only won 2 out of 25 states. Where on Earth is he going to win these other 3 states?

Newt is such a great candidate. Wish the voters would figure this out. He is like Churchill, a gloriously flawed leader who is exactly right for the times.

Reagan lost in 1976 and came back in 1980. Maybe Newt should do the same thing. After 8 years of Rick Santorum, Newt should try to run in 2020.

Well as soon as you guys stop bringing up dumb things like Santorum endorsing Mitt in 2008 when every person on FR did too because nobody wanted McCain than perhaps he will stop with the Moon Colony.
