I dislike Rick Santorum and Romney equally. Will not vote for either one

Uhh, what does “Zipperhead” mean? I haven’t heard that one.

"Ricky created a bill to charge boaters for VHF weather radio service, NOAA which has always been a free and vital service for them."

The NWS Duties Act. Bad bill and duly defeated.

That is correct. The governor’s machine has their element of shills though it has thought to be more systematic in blue states.

We have been so very niave, for too long.

In Birmingham the turnout was quite low - probably lowest I have experienced in 20 years. They ask for your driver’s license which is good. Ask you whether you are a dem or a pub and hand you the ballot. Voted for Scott Beason to hopefully unseat Spencer “stab-us in the back-us” Bachus.

It may be that Newt drops out tomorrow, if he fails to gain top spot in both Alabama and Missippi, and if he were to fall to third place in one of the two of them. But that is just conjecture. Heck, Rick Santorum could drop out tomorrow, too, for lack of cash, as he is running on bailing wax and string and hopes and prayers at this point against Goliath Romney. I think the template to watch for is Michelle Bachman after Iowa. She threw in the towel after “must haves”, even though leading up to it as I recall indications were she (said she) would stay in. At any rate, a very volatile race and could be down to a two man race (with Paul as a shill) by the weekend. /armchair theorizing off

Haley Barbour was a huge disappointment to me when he chose Romney. I have lost respect for a number of prominent people during this process

Oh yes, me too.

All the GOP-E elected office holders who endorsed Romney are RNC players who want to advance their careers and they're betting on Romney.

They're "Team Players" --- sound familiar?

My county has not reported.

Romney is winning in the highly government counties. Mine is too, (sort of).

A nice shot of Grey Goose in my Sweet Tea sounds GOOD.

Speaking of which, did anyone listen to Tom Marr* who substituted for Mark Levin last Friday (or Thursday maybe)? I couldn't believe my ears - he was shilling for Romney the entire hour, hung up on people who tried to point out Mitt's myths. I finally turned him off and went elsewhere on satellite radio.

*Tom Marr always talks about Grey Goose vodka when he subs for Mark

Understood. Still, Romney is one of these perception-over-substance guys, a sales type rather than an engineer, and if he loses both it means egg on his face. If the numbers hold - and we're 50% done with MS, 25% with AL - and Santorum takes BOTH (proportional allocation notwithstanding), the pressure will be on Newt to throw his support to Rick. I'd say the same thing BTW if the reverse were true as I'd support either man.

The downside is this: if one of them drops it cuts the size of Romney's battlefront in half. Some have made a compelling argument that it's actually advantageous to have both men in the race and running strong provided our goal is to keep Romney from 1144.

If Romney can’t even make second place in either Alabama or Mississippi, I will go to bed tonight a happy man.

Maybe it helps if it’s extremely hot out.... it was when I tried it.

Some nice folks in South Carolina took us to a little 50’s looking shop, where they served the best hand squeezed lemonade on the planet. My mouth waters just talking about it.

Sad thing for conservatives is that this will not be a big win for anyone.

It is all so close, the victor will be Romney.
