WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The U.S. economy added 227,000 jobs in February while hiring in January and December was revised up by a combined 61,000, the Labor Department reported Friday. The unemployment rate remained at 8.3%, largely because more people entered the workforce in search of jobs. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch had forecast the U.S. would add 213,000 jobs last month, with the jobless rate holding steady at 8.3%.

So what you are saying is that Gallop is an independent group with real people out in the trenches seeing what is going on and the other number is the government numbers that are taken from Washington DC with OBama at the helm. Got it.
Who said Gallup was in the "trenches." You made a snarky statement mocking "gallop" as a poll (sounding like an Obama shill). I simply stated that the BLS also uses a "poll."
Never in history has the Gallup poll been so much higher than the BLS number. And you think it's a conspiracy from the right against your boy Obama. LOL!

Gallop is more accurate right? God why am I even trying to explain this to you. You definitely are not a mesa type that is for sure. I imagine as a child you rode the short bus. What a goof you are. An Obama shrill you say? Doubtful. I am for Santorum the moral candidate running. You are an embarrassment to Pennsylvania. Now go back and read the entire posts again and don't get back to me until you have a full understanding of what I said. DO IT NOW!!!!!!

You are a tool. I just read all your recent posts... You are an Obama shill. Your support for Santorum is nothing but a Colbert-like satirist attempt, i.e. Vote for Santorum, we need to stop the gays for freedom and stuff.

Just over half of the increase occurred in temporary help services (+45,000).That would be in the 19.1% underemployed Gallup posted.

The 227,000 is the seasonally adjusted number from
table B-1.
The raw [not seasonally adjusted number] is [131,164,000 - 130,313,000] or +851,000. However the +851,000 is achieved through the magic of the
Birth and Death model which adds in +851,000.
So ... a raw number of 0 jobs created, after the application of two tools [Birth and Death Model and Seasonal Adjustment] becomes +227,000.

If you use non-seasonally adjusted numbers of the Household Survey, and take the BLS U-6 number [which includes under employed], then add back those not in the civilian labor force who want a job, you come close to Gallups 19.1% unemployment number.
