Buy a 2TB external HD. 100.00 or less.

Drag drop and copy your existing hard drives.

Day or so later/when done, pull plug and store 2TB.

Thanks for the alternatives.
I did a search and found a number of them.
Carbonite was not even listed in search.

I did check, It does not expire till June.

I have an external 60GB HD which I use to drag and drop important data. Since I keep all data under a separate file on the HD, I just drag/drop that one file and I’m done.

There is no way I’d backup my HD online, ever.

All it would take is one busybody politician with nothing else to do to pass a law saying the feds have access to all records in the interest of “fighting terrorism” or “for the children”.

On top of externals, I do periodic archive/burn days. After something has been around X amount of time it either gets burned or killed. I need to get a Blu Ray burner though. I have so many CD and DVD in storage it isn’t funny.

When I can get around to it, I would like to go through the stuff I’ve burned and slim it down to Blu Ray discs.

Amen brother! Why would you want to save your sheet on the Internet? They sell 4 terabyte drives now and you OWN it your possession. n.s
