I think the obama is right, this country does need a comprehensive energy plan, which it has not had in decades, but right now we need energy costs as low as possible and that means increasing supply AND reigning in gov spending.

Nope, we don’t need more centralized socialism. Get rid of the DOE and reign in the EPA. Let states decide local energy policy and individuals and the free market will do the rest.

This country has the best "comprehensive energy plan" going, it just needs to implement it. It is called the free market, in energy of all types. When Reagan deregulated the energy industry the price plummeted and the gas lines that plagued the seventies became a permanent thing of the past--at least until, possibly, now.
