The Troika went to bail out Europe's banks (for the nth time) and all we got was this postcard of night time Athens...

It’s where we are headed without real reform.
The police need to crush this quickly.
The police claim they are out of tear gas. Funny, isn’t it?
Well, it's nothing to cry about.
...but they have plenty of real bullets!
yes, so the people who hold the power can stick it to future generations.
That’s not why I want this to stop.
Maybe after this round, they can correct the mistakes they make in re-assembling the Acropolis from the LAST time Athens was in flames.
At least they have most of the stones numbered now.

Any other questions?

If you shoot the communists, you are left with working people who pay their bills. Your puppet masters won't have puppets to manipulated. Poverty then turns to wealth.
Am I the only one that realizes that most of this rescue package will be stolen by the Greek politicians and bureaucrats? Those sort of folks normally like to steal money at a small pace over an entire lifetime. But in Greece’s case the politicians and bureaucrats know that this is the last bailout from the EU so each one will steal a lifetime’s worth from it. A year from now the former Greek pol’s and ‘crats will have a reunion in some small European principality like Monaco...while the Greek people are suffering.
That really doesn’t look too bad. Only two spots are smoking. I haven’t seen any pictures of rioters preventing firefighters from doing their business.
No riot is ever good, but the situation could be much worse. Let’s hope that demonstrations will remain relatively peaceful.
These aren’t communists. Do you realize what this austerity package contains? If similar measures were imposed here by some outside organization, you would be in the streets.
I read other articles stating the police are engaging the rioters. Don’t forget the police union statement from the other day stating they wouldn’t fire on their countrymen so i’m doubtful all the police are involved.
They are supposed to have an election in April or May. I guess this will be used as a reason to postpone them.
They better have their reunion far away if what you propose comes to pass. They will be dragged from their homes if they stay in Greece.
I would think that the bullets are flying by now. If not, these cops show remarkable restraint against a deadly mob. Although I am sure that is what they are trained to do - to show restraint.
