During the last Presidential campaign many Catholics were deluded by then Senator Barack Obama. His rhetoric uses language which sounds as though he agrees with Catholics on issues such as our obligation to the poor and the needy. His administration has acted in a manner which proves the opposite. The most egregious example is his failure to hear the cry of the children in the womb. However, there are many more, including his denial of religious freedom and his failure to defend marriage and the family and society founded upon it. His words at the National Prayer Breakfast call us to pray for him. However, we will not be fooled again.

> Catholics Won’t Get Fooled Again

Right.

Most Catholics I know, even in my own family, support not only birth control, but abortion. Their leftist ideology comes ahead of the Church.

"Catholics Won't Get Fooled Again "

Hopefully, Catholics won't get fooled again believing Obama is a legit Christian. He is anything but.

Obama's Church: Gospel of Hate
Kathy Shaidle, FrontPageMag.com
Monday, April 07, 2008

In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obama’s pastor in a heated interview about his Church’s teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...

Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

Catholics for Marx [Liberation Theology]
By Fr. Robert Sirico
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, June 03, 2004

In the days when the Superpowers were locked in a Cold War, Latin America seethed with revolution, and millions lived behind an iron curtain, a group of theologians concocted a novel idea within the history of Christianity. They proposed to combine the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Marx as a way of justifying violent revolution to overthrow the economics of capitalism.

The Gospels were re-rendered not as doctrine impacting on the human soul but rather as windows into the historical dialectic of class struggle. These "liberation theologians" saw every biblical criticism of the rich as a mandate to expropriate the expropriating owners of capital, and every expression of compassion for the poor as a call for an uprising by the proletarian class of peasants and workers.

> our obligation to the poor and the needy.

Our obligation to the poor and needy is not to be fulfilled by taking other people’s money by threat of force.

Our obligation to the poor is for us to give the money to Relgious charities that then administer to the poor.

Here are two questions to ask your religious friends who think the poor should be helped by the compulsion of the state.

1. Did you know that government agencies only give to the poor only about 10% of all the money that is ostensibly taken to help the poor, while religious based organizations dispense to the poor 90% of the money they take for that purpose on average?

2. Would you rather have religious people tending to the poor or faceless bureaucrats in union-run organizations with political connections?

The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine
Monday , May 5, 2008
FoxNews/Hannity's America
[special Friday night edition--original airdate May 2, 2008]

(some key excerpts)

["(Jose) Diaz-Balart is the son of Rafael Diaz-Balart y Guitierrez (a former Cuban politician). He has three bothers, Rafael Diaz-Balart (a banker), Mario Diaz-Balart (a US Congressman) and Lincoln Diaz-Balart (also a US Congressman). His aunt, Mirta Diaz-Balart, was Fidel Castro's first wife."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jose_Diaz-Balart]

JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO NETWORK: "Liberation theology in Nicaragua in the mid-1980's was a pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-U.S., anti-Catholic Church movement. That's it. No ifs, ands, or buts. His church apparently supported, in the mid-'80s in Nicaragua, groups that supported the Sandinista dictatorships and that were opposed to the Contras whose reason for being was calling for elections. That's all I know. I was there.

I saw the churches in Nicaragua that he spoke of, and the churches were churches that talked about the need for violent revolution and I remember clearly one of the major churches in Managua where the Jesus Christ on the altar was not Jesus Christ, he was a Sandinista soldier, and the priests talked about the corruption of the West, talked about the need for revolution everywhere, and talked about 'the evil empire' which was the United States of America."

REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."

SCHENCK: "I was actually the only person escorted to Dr. Wright. He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."

As a Christian, I want to give him the respect due his office. I try to give him the benefit of the doubt because he professes to believe in the same Savior whom I also profess...

There’s your 2 mistakes right there. And he exploits those shamelessly. Zero does NOT respect the office so why accord that respect. He takes your benefit of the doubt for granted and quashes it while piously demanding it from you.

FBO!

A person who would take a life to ensure that he is not inconvenienced is a person who has little worth. They are devoid of morals. This man is two-faced. He says he serves God. He cannot truly believe if he can stand there and support abortion. God said ‘Thou shalt not kill’. He didn’t set age limits. He didn’t qualify it in any way. Obama is a hypocrite. I believe, and I also know that taking a life to prevent inconvenience is wrong.

Catholics Won't Get Fooled Again

What makes the author think they were fooled last time

And it depends how you define a Catholic or any other religion

People who say they are Catholic ?--Like Pelosi

Hell I Have seen a car with an Obama sticker on the left side of the bumper and an Abortion Stops A Beating Heart on the right side parked in the Catholic Church Lot during Sunday Mass

IF, in an alternate universe, 0bama had been waxing eloquent in the Temple about how Jesus would have wanted to "tax the rich" (one of Zero's recent pronouncements), the slimy Kenyan fraud would have been the FIRST one that Jesus grabbed by the neck and thrown OUT of that Temple ass over teacups, along with the rest of that den of thieves and robbers.

Don't misunderstand: I pray for 0bama, I pray that Almighty God will light up his azz with a major league lightning bolt!

I believe Ayn Rand referred to it as “the sanction of the victim”. Not only is the president stealing our money and dignity, but requesting us to publicly approve of his actions. I suggest that a boycott of the Prayer Breakfast would be a good start.

If he did convert the Muzzies would be going nuts- Isn’t there some sort of penalty for converting away from Islam?

He is a MUSLIM INFILTRATOR

Personally, I am praying Psalm 94 for Obama & his thugs:

Psalm 94

The wicked band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the LORD has become my fortress,
and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.
23 He will repay them for their sins
and destroy them for their wickedness;
the LORD our God will destroy them.

I can understand Obama's confusion when quoting scripture. When scripture discusses what is expected, it's referring to the fact that it's expected by The Lord. The problem is, according to Obama, the government is The Lord, the ultimate power, the ultimate good. Which is why he can twist scriptures to insist that they demand the government levy higher taxes. But this is nothing new. When he talks about being "my brother's keeper," he doesn't understand that the Bible refers to a person's personal obligation. Obama again believes the Bible is referring to the Bible's mandate for the government to force you to be someone's benefactor.

The Lord made these laws to be personal decisions. The Lord gave us free will. Obama and the leftists are demanding that we have this obligation, they demand the contributions at the point of a gun, and they'll just take a little off the top for themselves...

It's really not too different than his misunderstanding of being a good neighbor vs being a thief... Wasn't that his response to "Joe the Plumber?"

One last thing... Does anyone else believe for an instant that the leftists in government and the media would wouldn't be up in arms, screaming bloody murder, had a conservative Christian referred to government action based on Scripture? They don't, simply because they know what a joke Obama is, and they love the way he twists scriptures, sort of like Satan would.

Mark

Liar in chief.

“But for me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’s teaching that “for unto whom much is given, much shall be required.” It mirrors the Islamic belief that those who've been blessed have an obligation to use those blessings to help others, or the Jewish doctrine of moderation and consideration for others.
But part of that belief comes from my faith in the idea that I am my brother's keeper and I am my sister's keeper; that as a country, we rise and fall together. I'm not an island. I'm not alone in my success. I succeed because others succeed with me.”
He spews this crap as his brother lives in a box as he would like everyone in America to, while he sits on a thrown.
As someone said recently, somebody needs to tell obama that he isn't Jesus.

When the public wanted Social Security and Medicare the die was cast

Government can force business and people to pay into these systems they can do anything

Wonder if the Bishops and anyone against government control etc were in favor of those 2 programs —originally not now when they are going broke

As a Patriot who was never a Catholic -but who has come to defend that church -and its people when I find reason to believe they are right— I pray that this man is right—and the delusion is over. Yet part of me believes the nation as a whole is suffering strong delusion even today after three long years.

Republican Rep. Phil Gingrey (Ga.) walked out of President Obama’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday.
“He was disturbed and offended by the president’s use of prayer and reflection time for partisan politics and class warfare,” .
At the breakfast, Obama tried to tie some of the proposals from his State of the Union address, such as everyone paying their fair share in taxes, to Biblical teachings.
