I was accused, up thread, of being an attorney.
I am not.
But I do understand the law and I do understand this issue, very well.

I was not bragging at all.

Your sarcasm is not warranted.

All natural born citizens are citizens, but the reverse is not true. Not all citizens are Natural Born Citizens.
Good to see somebody got to it before I did. I should have read down instead of up after my reply.
Nothing more than a "gotcha" statement.

I have been asked a few times now, about that case. I hesitate to post much info on this thread, as some in the “birther” camp are a bit rude, sarcastic, and prone to hate anyone who disagrees with them on tactics, law or history.

I will try to post more info on my FR bio when I get a chance.

Rubio needs to be selected for the VP slot.

That will bring the issue to the forefront, and people will finally see the hypocrisy in Obama's claim to Natural Born Citizen status. When Obama drops out of the race, the Republican nominee can then choose another running mate.

However, the RULES to achieve Citizenship at Birth have changed.
First it was legislation. Now it's rules. Which is it?

There is plenty on this very thread to show the weakness of your argument.

Natural Born Citizen means CITIZEN AT BIRTH!

The Courts, at one time, held that you must have parents who are citizens, at the time of your birth, for this to be true. The Courts so held because there was no Act of Congress at that time to define Citizenship.

Now there is.

Your “case law” is, therefore, worthless. Legislation trumps Common Law. Legislation trumps Case Law based on Common Law.

He did. He won even though he had funny-looking ears and a hugely fat wife.

“I was accused, up thread, of being an attorney.”

At the risk of sounding paranoid, I hope you’re not referring to my post #72:

“Since I am not a lawyer, as you appear to be, please enlighten me. Thank you.”

“Appear” and “accuse” are not interchangeable in the English language and by the rules of Logic. (If you catch my drift)

“Nonsense. Your parents’ birth doesn’t matter. It’s YOU who matters.”

No offense, but this issue requires a lot of study. It is amazing how sure people are about citizenship issues, when in fact, they know almost nothing about it. What they think they know, and are so positive of, is just plain wrong!

Your father, born of U.S. citizen parents, would be a “citizen by birth” regardless of where he was born. He would not need to be naturalized. He couldn't be president, but I'm guessing he never wanted to. YOU, on the other hand would have no issue for NBC, at least on your fathers side, because he always was a citizen from birth.

Only as to eligibility for president & vice president does being a Natural Born Citizen matter. It doesn't make you a better person, or a better citizen.

you are correct.

Rubio selected for VP would be a great ‘teaching tool’ for the great uninformed masses...and they’d be so relieved that he was ineligible that they’d not understand the connection until....DOH! Oh, O!

Your childish posts say much about you, and nothing about me.

I have done more for the conservative cause than you could ever hope to achieve.

I don't give one wit what you think of me.

However, for the benefit of those who actually THINK with their brains? I can't stand Obama and I am working hard to defeat Obama.

I'm just asking you if you actually argued the case before the court or if you settled out of court.
Stating which you did hardly constitutes divulging who you are.

Wrong.
The Founders wanted to deny NATURALIZED Citizens the ability to become President.
That is the purpose of “Natural Born” -— to distinguish between NATURALIZED.

look at any passport application, available at the Post Office or at the State Department website.
All you need to know about Congressional action, IE Citizenship, is right there for all to see.

“BS
Rubio is qualified”

Rubio might be qualified, but he is “ineligible”

Article XII

“.......But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5.

“No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. “

So what is it?! What "Act of Congress" are you talking about? Can you give the Public Law number so that it can be looked up at GPOAccess?
