AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Doesn’t matter if it’s my 1st or my thousandth visit. If a poster is saying something I don’t understand, then I can ask him or her to clarify it without personal attacks and ridiculous accusations from their “friends” who don’t even bother to ping me when they’re talking about me.

It was just a simple little question. Yes, or no. That’s all it took.

American culture has been conditioned to think in terms of all or nothing, either - or, zero tolerance, in everything from nutrition to discipline. Whether it's the smoking of tobacco or criticizing actions of certain capitalists, many conservatives are like average Americans in that they've allowed themselves to become conditioned to think in "purist" terms, although they don't recognize it. For them, the guy who smokes a couple of cigarettes a day is equal to a Pack-a-Day Nicotine Fiend, and the guy who questions the ethics of certain capitalistic pursuits is an Anti Capitalist. Only Purists are legitimate, even when common sense is clearly on the opposite side of "purist."

And it's rich, because the same Republicans and conservatives who entirely write-off Ron Paul, whose Constitutional limited government conservatism is solid but whose isolationist foreign policy is suicidal, would urge us in the name of Reagan's famous 11th Commandment, to embrace Romney, who has zero percentage conservatism in him, compared to 50 percent in Paul. And when I reject Romney, they accuse me of being the purist.

Ron Paul isn’t all bad. His fiscal stands are spot on in many cases. I wouldn’t totally right off those supporters of his that fall into that category. It’s the foreign policy, isolationist faction of Paul’s that contains the most “kooks”. Palin has been quite careful NOT to diss that fiscal faction. In fact, she has praised Paul in that respect.

Palin is in touch with the real America. Rush, sad to say, only thinks he is.

the question is irrelevant to the subject

it has nothing to do with candidates getting on the va ballot

you are fishing for her motivation

i am fishing for your motivation for seeking her motivation

i think - i get confused

Haven't even finished reading your post, but felt compelled to bump this to the top:

What is paramount when selecting a candidate is their governing philosophy. Newt has a factual record of Conservative achievements. I don't like his weakness on man-made global warming. However, the primary governing philosophy of Newt is much closer in line with our Founders.

Amen. GODSPEED NEWT GINGRICH. And God vanquish Mitt Romney.

ps

there is a vlaid reason noot - and others - did not get on the va ballot - i can't articulate it - but mark levin did on his radio show - wish i could recall the date

there was some hanky panky and dates got changed somehow - your time would be better spent with that argument rather than hinting that impr supports romney

Rush has been truly disappointing as of late. It's okay with me that he hasn't come out and endorsed anyone -- I like him better for it, in fact.

However, I'd think that a major part of being a Champion of Conservatism, would be being a Destroyer of Anti-Conservatism. Rush has exhibited water-for-guts in that fight. He is too politically timid to call a trojan horse spade a spade. Knowing Romney as long and as well as we do, it is the ONLY conclusion that can be drawn.

Why do you spell it “noot” instead of “Newt”?

The question was not irrelevant, and only required a simple yes or no. Even IMRR said my conclusion was logical to what she typed. (See post 149).

You don’t know me, but if you care to waste your time psychoanalyzing me for a simple question, that required a simple answer go right ahead.

And just so you know, I’ve already heard several reasons why Newt, Santorum, Bachmann and Perry didn’t get on the ballot, but I’m not dwelling on it. It’s over. It’s not going to change.

Voting for and supporting X because they got the nomination of your party and they best represent your beliefs is a little different, don’t you think?

I do agree with these comments. Just frustrated on many levels that even after the last four years of being blindsided by Obama, many American voters are STILL blissfully unaware of who the candidates are. How does a state that voted for Rubio and turned away Christ just a few months ago now vote for Romney? I just don't get it.

i hit the nail on the head - you want to complain about personal attacks but were fishing to attack others

since you are not dwelling on it - and not going to change it - and not interested in the reason, i’d say i pegged you

To put sloop and IMissPresidentReagan into perspective, neither can provide a simple written answer, though I've asked before, as to why they spell it "noot" instead of "Newt."

So it's no surprise to me, nor probably to lots of readers, that you can't get a simple yes or no answer out of them. :^)

Indulge me. I geuss I’m just a little bit slow. Please, in your own words, explain here why you spell it “noot” instead of “Newt.” Somehow, the words “to anger whackjobz” and “uh oh” don’t come across as a written answer.

Is IMPR trying to push Romney during the Rush Live Threads? No.
