“$ 1.2 trillion in automatic discretionary spending cuts”

Half of those cuts are coming from the Department of Defense and are on top of another $ 500 billion cut.

For those you don't, or worse yet don't want to know, the Defense Department's budget represents 25% of the Federal Budget but is almost always the chief provider of budget cuts.

I flew in the “Carter Air Force” when we had more hanger queens than flyable aircraft and where “K-balling” parts from one aircraft, frequently scheduled to fly later, so an aircraft could have its “red X” signed off. IMHO, that level of support in today's military world will get sons of friends killed both in training and operations.

I suppose this means they’ve abandoned the FY2012, FY2011 and FY2010 budgets altogether?

Someone should tell that guy running the RNC what a great ad this would make.

"This will mark the third time in four years the President has missed his statutory requirement to present a budget on time, while trillion-dollar budget deficits continue to mount. As the President announces another missed deadline, tomorrow marks the 1,000th day Senate Democrats have gone without any budget at all."

The so called "Brilliant" President Dumba$$ once again proves he is either very lazy or incompetent. How can you NOT come up with a budget and NOT get demolished in an election year?

I hate the MSM for giving him a pass on this.

If you can print money, & the public really doesn't know about its inflationary effects, passing an annual budget doesn't matter any more...

Obama and the current congress remind me of an old joke.

I’ve still got checks therefore I still have money!
