His daughters have been on many shows today and tonight (starting with cspan early this morning) in support of their dad, and I imagine they’ll continue to do so. Bless them.
Glad to hear from someone who does know him personally. My analysis was that we need someone who really understands how Washington works, and has a record of reform, and knowledge and dedication to constitutional principles.
He has the best resume in spite of his personal mistakes.
I suspicion he wanted to move on because he saw how the people responded for Newt! Not what he and his handlers were hoping for, I expect. ahahaha

Post 1412# has link for when Newt took down John and CNN for bringing up his ex-wifes statement. Newt was in amazing form having gone thru all the crap today about her...just evidences the presure he can take...and he will fight back!
I could not agree MORE!!! Stutter on every single sentence, every other word. It's soooooo annoying!
And his pronunciation of "LeGislature" as "LeDislature."
And tonight, he pronounced "ReGister" as "ReDister."
It's hard not to stutter when you've got a RINO stuck in your throat!
What is the public perception of the Newt/affair story going to be in the next few days?
1. He’s a serial cheater, who wanted a open marriage, and had a 6 year affair in his wifes bed.
2. Newts debate response was so good, we are going to ignore the whole thing?
Same thing happened with Palin. After the I can see Russia from my house story broke, she was painted as an idiot. We all knew what she was really trying to say. And we know she is far from stupid. But what did the public meme become around Sarah?
I hate the MSM and what ABC is doing 35 hours before the debate. But if you think this won’t negatively impact Newt, you have some strong rose colored glasses on. I’d love to see Newt become president. But he has was too much personal and policy baggage. He will be destroyed by Obama and the media in the fall. Mitt may get destroyed also. And if so, we are stuck with Obama 4 more years. And the country as we know it , is at risk.”

Any nominee is going to have the media go after him tooth and nail. Which candidate has so far been able to put the media on the defensive?
Some evangelical women may have a problem with his cheating that renders his real qualifications moot to them, but maybe some of those women who are democrats turned independents will not be so picky.

I was being charitable toward Santorum.......my point was that for him to give NewT NO credit for winning the House and subsequent achievements was low-class.
