Romney and the Confederate flag

This should be good for 10 points for Newt!

"Some parts of this country may be able to "go beyond that kind of stuff," but a large number of GOP voters in South Carolina aren't among that contingency. They don't want to be, and they don't want a Massachusetts governor telling them they should be."

Thank you, Jim, for taking a stand. Good choice, good timing.

I’m with you 100%. I’m confident we can beat Romney, and beat Obama. Should be a fun 4 years. :-)

LOL!! Glad I am not the only one who has that capability, sheepish look.

Went so far as to tell my DH that I will NEVER again send money, (I will work like the dickens though ; ) to a candidate, because no sooner do I hit send, then they are out of the race : o

When Perry bowed out this morning I was sad for an America where being a good man, and a good leader was not enough, but the endorsement and hearing about the 10th Amendment push was the perfect remedy.

Godspeed Newt, and may God guide our course together.
Tatt

I went and re-read what I posted. I should have posted. Perry is out and now I am supporting Newt as he suggested. :)

Your endorsement seals it for me.
I’ll post on this subject for the first time.
I was for Palin, then Cain, now Newt.

FreeRepublic is great (BTW).

I’m focussed on America’s future, not Newt’s past.

You can make the argument that Myth has character, so what is your point? Gonna vote for him?

We need the man who best beat Zero AND turn this country around. The main thing is the main thing.

I’m with you, boss! Let’s see this through to the end.

My grandma used to tell me that there was only one perfect man who ever lived, and people hated his guts. Many still do.

Newt’s not a perfect candidate but Jesus isn’t running this year

a sentiment that needs to be repeated over and over, seemingly.

Hats off to JR for steadfastness in the cause of constitutional government.

Mr. Robinson,
I have voted AGAINST democrats in every election, federal, state and local, since about 1968, thanks to LBJ. Only a few times have I actually VOTED FOR a republican. Twice actually, President Reagan and Sarah Palin. Frequently, I have been disappointed in the candidates and their actions after gaining office.

On the large marker board in my office, I have written: “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” I believed those words as a kid, as a US Marine, and as a grumpy old man. I fear for my two granddaughter's future. Hopefully, Newt is the man in our time of need. May he be successful and return this country to greatness.

Semper Fi.

Made up my mind after Cain was drummed out for Newt. Will donate to his campaign as well. GO NEWT!! Pray he goes to God with humility and praise seeking His wisdom and guidance, like we all should.

“How does Newt Gingrich get enough of the woman’s vote, during the primary season and during the general election?”

He’s talked enough of them out of their.....”virtue,” I am sure he can talk a few our of their vote.

And who would be that principled, honest, moral, ethical candidate be...???????????

The DNC will attempt to destroy ANY Republican candidate. So that's a non-starter.

So, who's your candidate?

I hope he chooses wisely when it is time to pick the veep (she’d make an excellent choice ... again). Now to work on a strong House and Senate to keep Noot on the straight and narrow!!!

Count me in as another Newt supporter on your site, too. Your endorsement leadership means a lot to a regular Freerepublic reader like me, and I am glad you’ve taken a stand.
