The 2010 Tea Party victory was a reaction against “The Divine One” a revulsion if you please. It may not have been due to an acceptance of “the message.”

I have heard that as conventional wisdom but the Tea Party supported candidates were more conservative than usual. Can't win something with nothing as they say.

Perhaps 2010 was both an Obama backlash and a conservative resurgence—I would like to think so and see more of it this November.

But as far as proving the original assumption we certainly won't if we nominate Mitt and that's a for sure.
