Federal court blocks Oklahoma ban on Shariah law

OKLAHOMA CITY – An amendment that would ban Oklahoma courts from considering international or Islamic law discriminates against religions and a Muslim community leader has the right to challenge its constitutionality, a federal appeals court said Tuesday.

The court in Denver upheld U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange's order blocking implementation of the amendment shortly after it was approved by 70 percent of Oklahoma voters in November 2010.

Muneer Awad, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma, sued to block the law from taking effect, arguing that the Save Our State Amendment violated his First Amendment rights.

The amendment read, in part: "The courts shall not look to the legal precepts of other nations or cultures. Specifically, the courts shall not consider international law or Sharia law."

Why do judges rule this country? I’d like to know.

Take the judges from the court in Denver, and give them a one -way ticket to the middle east. Maybe they would feel more at home there. Like I said before, they made their ruling, now let them try to enforce it, and see how far they get with that.

So they can push people into taking the law into their own hands and have an excuse for Marshal Law.

They couldn’t be any more obvious if they tried. And when it happens, libs will wonder why they too are subject to it.

“Specifically, the courts shall not consider international law or Sharia law.”

This is exactly what Newt was talking about regarding judges. This clown/judge needs to be impeached. No way should Sharia or international law be considered in our court cases. This needs to go to the supreme court for a ruling. GO NEWT!

I think they are also pushing very fast because 0bastard is less popular than they thought he would be. And so many of his little plans either are being revealed (Gunwalking) or failed miserably (Occupukes although they may try to revive that for a rainy day as in before elections) and Attackwatch. But goading us into being naughty so they can take ALL our rights away is I’m sure one of their main obsessions.

Because we have allowed it?

Just like bullies, if you continue to let them get away with it they will do as they please. However, when he gets his ass kicked and meets his match it almost always stops.

I knew this was going to backfire and facilitate the inference that Sharia is compatible with the Constitution.

I fail to understand why this battle cannot be won without giving legislative credence to Sharia.

Sounds like Oklahoma just needs to pass a new law and re-word it. Something like “Only U.S. laws, state and federal laws that are consistant with the U.S. Constitution, are applicable in court decisions.”

“Most judges are just as bad as most lawyers these days.”

You know what they call a lawyer who can’t make a living practicing law don’t you? Answer: Your Honor!
In this case District Judge Viki LaGrange is one of “Holder’s People,” so the ruling makes perfect sense. She’s just doing the work of breaking down the rule of law in this country like FUBO has asked her to.

So...Sharia law, which officially discriminates against Christians and Jews, is permissible in the USA? I’d really like to know what the Supreme Court thinks about this.
