Can’t we nominate Perry and have Newt as a Designated Debater?

Perry does not need debate help. He is getting on his game. Check out some of this stuff. Go down the page and see him on stage during one of Hannitys gigs. You will see a Rick Perry you may have not seen but Texas has.

To me the “part-time Congress” comes off as a completely flaky position and the audience never seems to respond to it very positively. It sounds like a gimmick and definitely one of those things that everyone knows would never happen. So how smart is it to waste so much energy in your campaign on something that will never happen? The U.S. Congress I’m sure has more to do than any state’s Congress. And they need to be there regularly to handle unexpected issues like, oh, say, a war. Actually if he phrased it as being there for a month and taking every other month off it wouldn’t sound so bad. But a year off and a year on just sounds ridiculous.

Can we nominate Newt and have Romney as the designated guy who pardons the Thanksgiving turkeys every year?
