I think the tea party is beginning to warm up to him. Newt is a pro-life, Reagan Coalition Christian conservative and he’s knowledgeable, experienced, fully vetted (sought redemption and is largely forgiven), is battle tested and rip-roaring ready to hit the ground running. No on the job training necessary. He’s a deficit cutting, tax cutting, budget balancing, welfare reforming, socialist healthcare program (HillaryCare) blocking, small government, big defense dynamo. He’s already taking the battle to the enemy. In short, we’re desperate and he’s exactly what we’re looking for.

Forgot to mention, that as a Reagan protege and with his successful years in the congress and as Speaker he knows how to maneuver the DC and congressional minefields a lot better than someone like Romney who allied himself with Ted Kennedy to get his moderate (socialist) agenda through.

Your opinion holds a lot of weight with me, Jim. Unless Palin gets back in (too late I’m told) - Newt will get my vote.

I dunno about “exactly”. I’d replace that adjective with “as close as we’re gonna get to”.

Newt will wipe the floor with Obama in a debate and I bet Obama will be shaking in his boots. Should Newt win I look for the Obama team to make zero seem like the victim of mean ole Newt a la Hillary and Rick Lazio in their debate (which was laughable knowing what an aggressive witch Hillary really is). I think Obama will have to go for sympathy rather than competence - since he’s incompetent anyway.

One thing I know - he’s the smartest guy on our side - wish I were sure that he could beat zero in the election.

OK. Let's hope this time the "white-haired wrinkly (chubby) dude" can beat "The One Who we have been waiting for."

Gingrich is not "cool" but he's substantive. Hopefully enough people will have changed their minds about how "cool" it is to vote for "The One."

Megadittos.

1980 Reagan revolution = tea party beta 1
1994 Newt’s GOP takeover of the House = tea party beta 2
2010 Booting Pelosi from speakership = tea party 1.0

Newt’s current run is a natural progression of the same grass roots conservatism.

Sorry Jim, I’m not that desperate. I keep thinking of that NY 23 race, the climate change advocate and the sky high ego “I am the nominee”. I will vote for him if he is the one but not too excited about it.

"Donald Trump is providing a blueprint here: The way to beat Barack Obama in 2012 is to just go at him." -Rush Limbaugh - Thursday, April 7, 2011

“I’ll tell you this. Whoever in this field takes it to Obama the straightest and the hardest and the most direct, is who’s gonna win. They’re gonna have to take it to Obama. This isn’t a ‘pussy-foot around’ type of election. This is not, ‘Oh, we’ve got to worry about what they’re gonna say about us, we’ve got to worry about PR, about charges of racism.’ Somebody’s got to be willing to take it to Obama. It’s going to be about him and four more years of this stuff and we’ll see if there’s anybody in this field willing to do that.” ~ Rush Limbaugh - March 25th, 2011

I have a feeling that pretty soon, Newt will say what the establishment will think is ANOTHER "stupid" thing, saying something like this:

"With his Osawatomie Speech on 12/06/2011, Obama has deliberately come out of the closet as a Communist, showing that communism is his objetive. That speech was a Marxist attack on America, pure and simple."

<>

"...Folks, I don't think any longer it is improper to use the word "communist" to describe Obama, communism to describe his objectives, nor is it wrong to use the word "communist" or "communism" to associate with the trade labor movement, be it the AFL-CIO or the mine workers or the SEIU. I mean they've made it clear, Obama came out of the closet. We called him out. We set the arena. Obama is now playing in our arena, not the Republican Party's arena..." ~ Rush Limbaugh, December 08, 2011

Then why would Gingrich:
1. Sit down with Nancy Pelosi on that famous couch and generally agree with her on globing warming.

2. Support Dede Seozzafava the RINO in New York's republican primary a short time ago.

3. Call Paul Ryan's medicare reform package something the right wing extremists would support.

And this has been within that last few years. If I have to, I will hold my nose and vote for Gingrich over Obama, but it won't be with much enthusiasm.

In addition to his intellect and experience, Newt`s fearlessness is refreshing and inspiring. For the first time since Reagan, the Repubs will have a standardbearer who`s not only ready and able, but demonstrably quite willing to tear the flesh off these detestable, lying libs.

He`ll have my vote.

AT `EM, NEWT!!!
