I don't know what planet these people live in.

If it was found out one time that a camp counselor or youth coach was showering and performing naked horse play with a child that person would be terminated and the police and child services would be called in. A notice would go out to all the parents whose children were in the program whether charges were filed or not.

If he is doing these things on a regular basis then he is doing worse things with children.

I guess, as all cookie thieves are also bank robbers....

Cheese, we know Sandusky possibly has a dirty mind, and certainly an odd one. Nobody lauds that. The question is, exactly what did Sandusky permit this mind to move him to do. Few in the jabbering-Javert circuit seem to be wondering about how to accurately nail that fact down.

If it was someone like Scouts, every lefty lawyer for miles around would be hanging around their phone.

It seems highly politics driven who gets the ultra scrutiny and who gets the “boys will be boys.”

If I was the boy, I think I'd have a hard time admitting to it.

The kid might still be a teenager.

This isn't a court of law. This is a forum where people discuss news and topics. We understand that there is a legal process.

Saying that, people who are employed as youth counselors, especially ones who work with troubled youths all attend training. They are aware of the law and know what is and isn't appropriate and what is and isn't against the law. As youth baseball coach I was required to attend training and had background checks. Sandusky is required to attend these training classes under law. He knows that he shouldn't be naked with children in a shower. In fact he shouldn't be clothed in a shower with children. Any counselor who worked at the Second Mile that was observed doing what Sandusky did would be terminated and the police would have notified.

Sandusky will receive jail time just for those acts. There is also GJ testimony from victims that he had intercourse with the victim.

Sandusky has admitted to one crime. You would have to be a Casey Anthony juror (someone with low intelligence or low reasoning skills) to not believe the victims that testified before the GJ.

And I asked you if showering with young boys was a perversion or not?

If it is, then they were harmed by being exposed to a pervert.

If you think a grown man showering and 'horsing around' with them isn't, then according to your definition of 'being harmed' they weren't.

So, again, is he a pervert or not?

We aren't talking about 'normal' we are talking about perversion.

This isn't a 'quirk'.

How does this harm work to the ill of the boy? Yes I am being devil’s advocate, for a reason. You’re shooting from the hip and I’m exposing it. I think you will fall back to an argument of overall risk of bad morality, if not injury. But I say, show where this actually occurred to the boy, even one boy.

So, you think a young boy being exposed on a constant basis to a pervert doesn't harm him?

So, again, his he a pervert or not?

The grand jury’s job is to find things that can be brought before a court, to determine if in the most adverse view to the defendant there would be evidence sufficient to show him guilty. If the alleged intercourse can be brought before the court, let it be. But it sounds like the bearers of the allegations are unexpectedly now squirreling up a tree. This is why there are courts and why matters don’t end with a grand jury (unless it’s a no-bill).

If the pervert shows him how to be perverted it would be, but that would require more than showers. FAR more.

So, destroying one's moral compass isn't harming the boy?

In fact, that would be the greatest harm done to the boy!

How do showers destroy a moral compass? You beg the question with great vigor.

I don’t know what you are driving at here.

This guy will go to jail just for the crime that he has admitted to on a news show. He can’t even claim ignorance of the law.

Here, why don’t you go look at an actual organization that is involved with treatment of homosexuals: http://www.narth.com

They chronicle many evils committed by adults by which children can be pulled into the lifestyle, but same sex showering by its lonesome does not appear to be among them.

You beg the question so much, void of facts or empirical study, you might as well put on a beggar’s cloak.

Michael Jackson pretty much admitted the same thing, and he walked.

Let’s see a court do it. Many people will be amazed that even trash talk about yourself outside a court will not necessarily convict you in a court.

No they are not and I still don’t know what your are driving at.

This is a place where we discuss news and topics. You want to wait for the courtroom then so be it. The rest of us can discuss this case and other topics.
