During Senate testimony, Holder changes misleading testimony from May hearing

Attorney General Eric Holder flip-flopped his Operation Fast and Furious testimony during a Tuesday Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. During a May 3 House Judiciary Committee hearing, Holder told Congressional investigators at least twice that he had only learned of the controversial Operation Fast and Furious gun-walking program a “few weeks” beforehand. But testifying Tuesday, Holder’s timeline changed.

His new testimony amounts to an admission that he misled Congress during that May 3 hearing. House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa and Rep. Jason Chaffetz both asked him during that hearing when he had first learned of “Fast and Furious,” and he answered the same way twice.

“I did say a ‘few weeks,’” Holder clarified Tuesday, responding to questions from Vermont Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee. “I probably could’ve said ‘a couple of months.’ I didn’t think the term I said, ‘few weeks,’ was inaccurate based on what happened.”

I think the biggest lie of Holder was when he was asked, if Kagen was in the meetings when Obamacare was being discussed? His answer was, no she was asked to leave or removed from any meeting that involved Obamacare. Hmmmmmmm - now why would he say that? Did they actually know in advance she was going to become a SC Justice? I don’t think so. His answer was to provide cover for her not to recuse herself when it is brought up to the USSC. Issa needs to jump on this when Holder is grilled by his House committee in December.

IF anyone does not think that my Senator (I’m ashamed to admit) Far, Far, LEFT, Moonbat, “Leaky Leahy” and/or staff members and Holder—or one of his minions—did not coordinate this in order to (try) and let him off the hook (and did so before anyone else could get a crack at him) in order to defuse the seriousness of his (possible) Perjury, I’ve got some nice waterfront property for sale cheap in lower LA; that’s “lower Louisiana” as in the Bayou!

The GOOD question to ask Holder in the Committee Hearings is:

"Have you or any of your Staff communicated with Members of this Committee, prior to this moment, on the Testimony you are about to give?"

OR; "Has anyone on the White House Staff discussed details of the Testimony you are about to give, prior to this Meeting"?

Correct. With the exception of grassley and cornyn the hearing was effective at providing all the cover he and the dept need to avoid any real responsibility of wrong doing. Once the inspector report is completed, the by line will be about lessons we can learn from past mistakes. Just outrageous.

Holder is a lawyer. Even if he is a poor one he is aware how to speak in vague generalities so as to avoid perjury.

Blame Rep. Darrell Issa and Rep. Jason Chaffetz for not pressing Holder to be more specific in his answers.
