I thought there was a non-disclosure agreement signed.

The nondisclosure would be about the settlement and the amount. If an internal complaint had been filed, it would have been filed before there was a nondisclosure agreement - before there were even discussions that led to a nondisclosure agreement. And the woman filing it probably would have mentioned it to a friend or friends in the office. And those in HR who aer supposed to keep such claims secret don't always do so.

So the nondisclosure agreement wouldn't have kept this accuser from knowing that a coworker had already filed an internal complaint.

Gee, I wonder how they would have addressed the issue if it were against Biden, Edwards, Clinton, Kennedy, etc.?

1. Biden -- "Oh, that's just Joe being Joe."

2. Edwards -- "We mustn't charge him with anything, what with his poor, sick wife."

3. Clinton -- "We must look upon the totality of his Presidency... what he as done for women." (real words by none other than Anita Hill)

4. Kennedy -- "Ssshhhh."

I didn't realize she was a "co-worker", I thought she was looking for a job.

A lot of questions coming out about her story on Facebook and here:

Isn’t sexual harrassment from employer to employee? She was not working for Mr. Cain at the time how is that sexual harassment.

How is a fulltime single mom supporting herself and her children?

Why would a tea party member ever call Allred?

They said she was registered Republican but records show she is not.

If she was so disgusted why talk to him and ask if he remembered her?

Why would “stimulus package” even be mentioned in 1997?

If he did what this woman claims Herman did, why did she ask him for a ride back to her hotel?

Why was she smiling???

Why didn’t she tell her boyfriend?

Women don’t say a man reached for her “genitals”, that is something a man would say.

If he did this, it was assault - is someone going to press charges? Sue? Why didn’t she press charges then? Why didn’t she sue then?

How does anyone remember this much detail after 14 years?

Was Cain driving this car? Does he have 3 arms? When did he unzip his pants?

Why couldn’t the media ask her questions?

You are being assaulted and you say, “Don’t you know I have a boyfriend?” SERIOUSLY???

She wouldn’t tell her closest friends about this, but 17 years later would tell everyone on national TV?

Another thing. Herman Cain has been a successful business man as well as a radio talk show host. Translation: He has a lot of money! If these allegations were true......won’t the accused file suits against him over the last 10-15 years for punitive damages in order to get $$$ from Cain??

What she describes is a "pass", not sexual discrimination.

In this case, to discriminate against her would be to not make a "pass".

He denies it happened, she says it happened 14 years ago but never filed a complaint. Unless she has a video or an 8 x 10 glossy suitable for framing it didn't happen.

I know this alleged event happened many years ago. But what man by now does not know how to avoid this problem? Billy Graham had a rule that he would never be alone with a female who was not his wife and he would never be seen publicly alone with a female who was not his wife.

The NRA lets its CEO interview a female job candidate privately? After work hours? That is just foolish.

At this point I am rather agnostic about the Cain situation. If he was ever alone with these women he put himself at risk whether he did anything wrong or not.

It also shows poor judgment on the woman’s part by ever agreeing to meet a job interviewer alone and after hours. Why put yourself at risk?

Myers: “Did you resist, did you tell him to stop?”

Broaddrick: “Yes, I told him ‘Please don’t.’ He was such a different person at that moment, he was just a vicious awful person.”

Myers: “You said there was a point at which you stopped resisting?”

Broaddrick: “Yeah.”

Myers: “Why?”

Broaddrick: “It was a real panicky, panicky situation. I was even to the point where I was getting very noisy, you know, yelling to ‘Please stop.’ And that’s when he pressed down on my right shoulder and he would bite my lip.”

Broaddrick also says the waist of her skirt and her pantyhose were torn.

Juanita Broaddrick: “When everything was over with, he got up and straightened himself, and I was crying at the moment and he walks to the door, and calmly puts on his sunglasses. And before he goes out the door he says ‘You better get some ice on that.’ And he turned and went out the door.”

Myers: “On your lip?”

Broaddrick: “Yeah.”

Correction. She can’t PROVE it happened. This entire episode could be 100% factual. Or 100% false. Or 50% false. It’s all going to depend on how it is handled by Cain.

That ND agreement was with the accusers who were NRA employees. She was not an employee, so was not a part of any such agreement.

Or it all a lie manufactured for political reasons as Cain has stated. That no such meeting happened. Your error is you assume the accusation true when there is NO proof at all to back it up. so if "truth is a weapon" where is the truth to back up the accusations.

Or is guilty until prove innocent the new standard now?

Gloria Allred refused to help Jaunita Broderick. She’s an attention whore, who hopefully gets her comeuppance this go-round.

I remain agnostic on the accusations as well, but do think that his campaign handled the whole thing like a bunch of amateurs. The media is now circling like a bunch sharks that smell blood in the water. The problem is that a lot of that blood was a result of self inflicted wounds on the part of the Cain campaign.

? Using racially charged words like “lynch” might be good for fundraising, but is of course nonsense to sensible people.

When Cain goes down, his support will probably drift to Gingrich and perhaps Bachmann, or even just fade away into the “don’t know.”
