Look, I have been watching T.V. political ads for far longer than I'm about to tell you.....except to say that I do remember Ike's ads, from when I was a small kiddo. And I can tell you that there hasn't been one, not ONE, of them that featured someone smoking. It's just stupid !

No, shaking one's head no, means that the person talking doesn't believe in/agree with what he/she is saying. I truly doubt that they got any advice for this thing, but IF they did, that person or persons should be fired on the spot!

Sadly, I fear that you're seeing what you want to see, along with the other folks here who are claiming that this is a great ad.....which it isn't. It isn't even an ad!

And your opinion of Herman Cain is well known, so the same rule applies. Like I said, ads are targeted to specific groups. It didn't appeal to some people, including you. It did appeal to other people, including me. That doesn't make you wrong or me right. The effectiveness of an advertisement is very subjective.
