Solyndra Executive Has ‘Responsibility’ to Clam Up, Says Attorney ( Valerie Jarrett mentioned )

Thugs in suits, I was thinking. What did they do with over half a billion bucks of taxpayer money?

With that kind of score, why would some dumb criminal even think of robbing a liquor store, a drug store, or even a bank? The real money is in white-collar capers, with special treatment and little chance of arrest.

All you've got to do is send a team of grifters to the offices of Obama administration adviser Valerie Jarrett and the bucks will be delivered to your bank account with thanks from a grateful administration.

...

whoever agreed to put the taxpayers behind private sector hedge fund investors in the Solyndra loan guarantees may have violated the law, according to Rep. Phil Gingrey of Georgia.

"Why was this loan of $528 million subordinated to a second loan from the private sector when the Energy Committee Loan Program strictly prohibits that?"

Pubs like Upton and Issa had their hands out and used their influence to steer deals from this same pot of money to their districts as well.

So tell me, were the companies in Upton and Issa's districts denied loans by the previous administration because their books just didn't jibe? Do the companies in Upton and Issa's districts have a month/year expiration date like Solyndra did?

Isn’t it unusual for Corporate types to plead the 5th when no criminal charges have been filed?

Really doesn't matter. The whole purpose was to get them into court, and have the case 'in trial'. That means that the 'corporate types' can no longer discuss the case publicly.

See how that works?

You're focused on Solyndra details that infuriate me as well. My request is to take a half step back and realize that this is not Dem vs Pub. The foxes are guarding the hen house and it is a mistake to think guys like Upton have our best interest at heart. The ruling class is all about self preservation, period.

Uh....they were NOT in “court”!
They were in front of Congress, which is NOT a judicial body.
There have been no charges filed and there is no legal restriction on them speaking publicly on the matter.

See how that works?

Well, then, I expect we will see a column in the NYT or LATIMES sometime this weekend.
