Thanks!

I didn’t even have to change the words. (well, the pronunciation of her name.)

I think I just hear CNN’s F’reak Zacaria say about Obama’s ‘Pass this bill’, a “gimmicky and inadequate plan to fund it”. This should get interesting if he elaborates on it.

Yes, even the total knee-padders are starting to question. I really want our candidate to run against Hussein, but I personally think there's a very big chance that we'll get Hillary.

Thanks so much for that bio of Herman Cain. I knew some of it, but not all of it.

I hope you don’t mind, but I cut and pasted it on another site. Gave you credit, of course.

Thanks again!

How much foreign policy experience did Ronald Reagan have when he was elected? As far as I know, maybe some contact with Mexico because of the border.

Yet he was elected at the height of the Cold War. Did a pretty good job of it, too.

Anyone who has good character, firm principles, and the willingness to support America and her allies can conduct foreign policy.

Sometimes lack of foreign policy experience allows people to see things more clearly, without all of the baggage of past entanglements.

I would rather have someone of good character and a lack of foreign policy experience in the White House than an experienced charlatan like Obama (although his experience seems to be mainly insulting allies, bowing to heads of enemy states, and creating havoc in the Middle East.)

Does he want a sales tax? If so then he wants a point of sale tax, with all the burdens that accompany it. Did Bush 43 have extensive advisory staff for foreign policy? Absolutely. Are the times more perilous now than in 92 and 2000 ? Also absolutely! Is Mr. Cain without even the barest experience in dealing with heads of state, let alone the dangers that would greet him day one? His performances in the debates and interviews lean heavily inthat direction. He has the same business experience and less world experience as Ross Perot. Quite a number of facts. You may not like them but they are facts.

Pres. Reagan had a well developed world view by the time he ran. He was enjoying the tutelage of Bill Casey, the true architect of Reagan policy. Did you see the Reagan performance vs Bobby Kennedy in the Oxford debate in 1966,before he had been elected governor? Kennedy flamed his staff for putting him up against Reagan. The Cain Reagan analogy does not work.

And how do you know that Cain hasn’t been interested in foreign policy? As a CEO of several companies, he would have to have some sort of contact with foreign companies.

I really don’t care to argue. I simply think that foreign policy EXPERIENCE is overrated. Reagan didn’t have experience. He had an INTEREST and someone to teach him. There is no reason why Cain, who looks to be a quick study, can’t learn from someone like Bolton.

Good to see you in this thread.

Enjoy your x factor analysis and posts.

Agree on Bibi. He’s a real leader. The MSM doesn’t recognize it when they see it.

Especially David G.

If Mr. Cain was being educated by John Bolton for the last year or two I would feel more confident, but he hasn’t. I don’t believe it’s too late, but I haven’t seen much indication of his progress.

You don’t really know who he is dealing with behind the scenes. He strikes me as an intelligent man who knows where he needs help.

We will see. Why don’t we revisit this in a month or so? By then we should have an idea of whether he is learning quickly or not.

Since neither of us knows. it’s all guessing.

Good night!

“Brit Hume: “Unless the Republicans nominate some freak.”” LOL - I immediately wondered if he meant Ron Paul.

Ding ding ding ding! We have a winner.

Its a tough time right now John.

Everyone has their favorite candidate and we all have our preferences. Hard to see the forest for the trees sometimes.

But, we will. It happen slowly but surely. We all recognize the overall objective has to be removal of our communist regime and as many rinos as possible.
