However, a bear can be easily awakened during hibernation (so dont try and sneak into a bear den thinking its safe!).
Another interesting fact that “bears” no relation to your metaphor is that bears hibernate only because they need to. When there is an ample year-round food supply (think Lake Tahoe trash cans) bears don’t hibernate (and they grow very large).

If it were written about Perry I would point out that his words didn't match his deeds in the same way Palin’s do. Texas was “pay to play” under his leadership, as is all too common across the political spectrum all across this fruited plain.

In somewhat different words she is voicing many of the themes voiced by Perot during the 1992 campaign, the influence of lobbyists and corporations who are no longer American, but trans-national in interest, and bought and paid for legislators who do the bidding of these money interest often at the expense of the majority of Americans.
But voicing these themes won’t accomplish anything unless she does run for president because it’s unlikely any other candidate will take them up during the 2012 election campaigns.

For contrast, check out David Brooks’s idiotic column today, that did get printed, in which he gushes about Barry’s speech and plan from last night.

Please! RINOism is the ideal of moving to the left of conservatism. What Mrs Palin advocates is moving back to original conservatism - true free market principles. When was the last time people being accused of RINO were talking about true free market principles?
To: RefudiateObama2012
Consider the source.
Palin must be a RINO if she is being praised by the New York Times.

Big government is always corrupt which is why our Constitution created a limited federal government leaving all other powers to the people and the states.Once we finish dealing with big federal government, we'll only have 57 big state governments to go! < /sarc >

Who in is “Anand Girinharadas ?”
I read the entire article and it is strange. He knocks Palin upside down then says she will create something that ends the political divide? Then goes on to say her ideas were good and she isn’t dumb and the democrats would like her?Strange!

It was a great speech..and this author pointed out the finer points of the plan. Sarah is indeed in crossover country, her open letter to the unions is exactly what I’ve been telling the boy firend for years. Of course, he’s a union carpenter...and still fall for the party lines...howwever, his eyes and ears have been opened recently. Having no work will get your attention.
And she is NOT for sale. I am patiently waiting. comfortable that she will make the best decision she can for herself, family and country. Prayers for the Palin family.

Yeah me too but I agree with a poster above that if this article were written about Perry these same people on this thread saying we knew it Palin is great would be calling Perry a RINO.This crap needs to end.It is double standardish and turns people off.But I agree she does have the superior message.BUT...sadly I think the MSM want her to do a third party to elect Obama even though we may see it as a righteous thing from Palin; they want they're Obama.

KansasGirl, you just proved your ignorance. This has been Palin’s message since she first ran for city commissioner of Wasilla. Just as Mark Levin said, “Palin was Tea Party before there was a Tea Party.”
To: Dubya-M-DeesWent2SyriaStupid!
I don’t really care what others say or do. Anyone who thinks I am swayed by what the MSM thinks, or what other various supporters, lackeys, hired guns, cranks, fans, or critics say is sadly mistaken. I make up my own mind on my own terms.

It is only bribery if the donation to the campaign is DIRECTLY tied to the access to the legislation process/ patronage position/ targeted tax cut/ government contract/ etc.
Sort of like if it wouldn’t be prostitution if you just left the money on the counter - and they picked it up and had sex with you - but you didn’t say the money was FOR the sex.
