Hard to believe.

What a positive, uplifting article on the power of Palin.

Did all the editors of the NYT go on vacation and now the inmates are running the asylum?

Good article. It’s nice to see at least one Slime having something to say worth listening to.

Oh, come on—if the exact same article were written about Perry, Palin fans would be saying it’s proof he’s a RINO, and you know it.

This is exactly what every positive MSM article about Palin is—the ONE positive thing the publication (in this case the flippin NYT) can point to while saying, “See??? See??? We’re balanced!!!” before they spend the next 400 days bashing her—AGAIN.

They act like this is a new thing for Palin.

Taking on the ‘good ol boys’ in Alaska was her claim to fame and the reason she was, before mired in partisan politics (where she IS a pit bull with lipstick), the most popular Governor in America.

I’d say the political divide was a mite wider in 1860.

Beware of the hibernating Momma Grizzly;)

http://www.grizzlybay.org/LearnMore/Hibernation.htm

Bear hibernation is truly a miracle of nature. During the 5-7 months of hibernation a bear lives completely off of its stored fat reserves (burning up to 8000 calories a day and hence its need to fatten up in the fall) and at no time does it eat, drink, defecate, or even urinate while in hibernation. During hibernation the bear body essentially enters a mode of conservation, efficiency and recycling.

However, a bear can be easily awakened during hibernation (so don’t try and sneak into a bear den thinking it’s safe!).

(I just found the analogy appropriate for what Sarah is doing - sod)

I had a similar reaction to the speech. I’ve not been a supporter of a Palin run, but I thought she did indeed carve out an interesting niche with that speech, and did in fact set herself apart from all the declared candidates. I actually think her message, as exemplified by that speech, is the superior message. There. I said it.

Sarah is a true populist politician and may, if she feels it necessary, run as a third party candidate.

How many of you out there are sympathetic to the big guy/little guy message she expounds?

Reaching out to union members while slapping the leadership was an incredibly insightful thing to do in my opinion.

Unions are crumbling from within. She sees the crack and started driving the wedge. Republicans would be wise to follow her example.

They can allow themselves a little truth now that they think Palin isn’t going to have her hands on the levers of power.

The liberal author proves his ignorance in this piece. Sarah only repeated what the Tea Party and conservatives have been saying. It wasn’t a “breakthrough.” Conservatives have been saying this for years. Big government is always corrupt which is why our Constitution created a limited federal government leaving all other powers to the people and the states.

Their I said it, I hope he does it...

Interesting article. I have a disagreement with the following statement. Democrats are as much or more in the "big money" camp as Republicans are. Immelt was in the First Lady's box last night along with Trumka.

The political conversation in the United States is paralyzed by a simplistic division of labor. Democrats protect that portion of human flourishing that is threatened by big money and enhanced by government action. Republicans protect that portion of human flourishing that is threatened by big government and enhanced by the free market.

"No one knows yet whether Ms. Palin will actually run for president. But she did just get more interesting."

Certain people know if she's running but they aren't talking. It took quite a long time for this jouro-lister to discover how interesting Mrs. Palin really is.
