President Obama issued an executive order yesterday titled, Establishing a Coordinated Government-Wide Initiative to Promote Diversity and Inclusion in the Federal Workforce. Its quite vague, extolling the value of diversity without defining it, and setting up a government-wide initiative for all agencies that will develop and issue a Government-wide Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan. Details later, and the devil, of course, will be in the details.
Still, its bad enough already. If government personnel are told to strive for diversity, then of course they will be putting their fat thumbs on the scale to ensure a politically correct racial, ethnic, and gender mix, and that means that there will be divisive, unfair, inefficient discrimination, with the best qualified people not getting hired and promoted.

Diversity means non-White. When was the last time you heard detroit wasn’t diverse enough? Detroit is already nearly 100 percent diverse.
Diverse is a code word for non-White.
Anti-racism is a code word for anti-White.
Think of the variants of the root for "diverse": adverse, perverse, obverse, averse, inverse, converse... The word implies opposition and conflict.
Now consider "diversity" in contrast to the word, "variety." The difference is obvious, the latter is merely an array of differences, while the former implies conflict of interest. Look at the consequences...
Wherever there is conflict, there is need for settlement: bureaucrats, police, lawyers, prison guards... Hence "diversity" as opposed to "variety" as far as the Slave Party is concerned has been a bonanza for the budding police state. Yes, the word is that insidious and so are they.
What we've seen to date is nothing compared to the shitstorm that's going to rain down if Obama wins in 2012.

according to the Office of Personnel Management, federal employees in fiscal 2010 were 66.2 percent white, 17.7 percent black, 8 percent Hispanic, 5.6 percent Asian and Pacific Islander and 1.8 percent American Indian. Compared to the general U.S. population, the federal force is a bit too diverse. Blacks are overrepresented by 6.9 percent compared to the civilian work force, Asians and Pacific Islanders by 1.2 percent, and American Indians are more than double their proportion of the population at large. White Americans, who make up about 70 percent of the work force, are underrepresented by around 4 percent. Hispanics are also underrepresented despite the Clinton-era executive order 13171, Hispanic Employment in the Federal Government.
As it is whites are already underrepresented, guess the government will go on a hire whites only binge.
Yes, and the Federal work force is already extremely diverse. SO diverse that they need a whole county in Maryland to hold the diverse workers.
So for the Federal workforce to become MORE diverse, they will need to start getting rid of whites. They certainly can't hire any.

Agencies will have 120 days after that to devise their own plans for implementing the initiative. The governmentwide plan will be updated every four years, and agencies will be expected to revisit their own plans in the same time frame, officials on the conference call said.

He has declared that he is looking after "his people" FIRST.

Given that the fed workforce is about 39% minority, a percentage in excess of the minority population and workforce, and about 47% female, diversity programs should not be necessary.
Of course this means that every subdivision of every department must be scrutinized to make sure that it is properly diverse, and the paperwork filed, and more diversity outreach and education and compliance officials hired.
I think it’s time for a total mastectomy of the government teats.

I don’t know about executive orders, but way back in 1970 I was in West Palm Beach just home from 2 tours in Viet Nam, And I tried to get a job with the city as a firefighter using my supposed advantage as a Viet Nam Vet. The Person I talked to flat out told me that I was wasting my time unless I was Black. He said they were ordered to hire Black only regardless of the test scores or Veteran status of any applicants.
Every executive order, regulation, and law that have been issued, promulgated or passed since Obama took office needs to be revoked. Hit the reset button.

True in general but as for specific agencies it is not. Hispanics make up over 50% of the US Border Patrol.
Diversity would mirror the population.
To ME that would mean there would be about 11% blacks working in the Federal government and if it exceeded that you’d freeze their hiring until the population percentages matched the employee demographics.
I still think you just hire the best person for a job. I think we also shrink Federal employment way down to what it used to be as a percentage of the population back in the 60s, not the over 10% of population that it is today.

I am NOT failing to see the point. When Obamastan is fully formed, the public sector is crushed under the weight of the government. All non-laborer jobs are government jobs. Only non-whites can have government jobs. This isn’t about jobs or taxes or the economy or even kickbacks to his peeps. Obama is a freaking communist! In the end, he thinks everyone gets a job and free housing and food. This is about slow genocide. We need to stop thinking that we are fighting for our 401k and start thinking that we are fighting for our existence.
The order states "the head of each executive department and agency ... shall ... designate the agency's Chief Human Capital Officer to be responsible for enhancing employment and promotion opportunities within the agency".
So you're the "Human Capital Officer" (Director of Human Resources, whatever), and the President Hisself has decreed that he will hold YOU personally responsible for increasing black employment in your department. What do you think the Personnel people will do?
He is now laying the predicate to accuse the Republicans of being racists if they dare oppose this blatant pandering to prefer one race over others or, more precisely, to prefer all races over one. Not incidentally, we see him also now laying the predicate to accuse the Republicans of racism against Hispanics if they oppose his new amnesty regime.
On the economic front he is doing the same with his forthcoming recovery plan. It does not matter that his recovery plan has been tried to the tune of trillions of dollars and failed. It does not matter that he is attacking a strawman when he alleges by inference discrimination in the government' s hiring practices. It matters only that he will assume the high ground and those who attack that position will be vilified in the media.
