Wispoltics:
9:54 PM: 18th tightens, city of Oshkosh precincts only ones left

The 18th SD has tightened to just 27 votes with all of the remaining votes still out from the city of Oshkosh.

According to unofficial results from the Fond du Lac and Winnebago County clerks’ offices, GOP Sen. Randy Hopper leads 23,666 to 23,639 for Dem Jessica King.

The Winnebago County Clerk’s Office says the remaining precincts still out are all in the city of Oshkosh.

I still am amazed at how Wisconsin ha changed in my life time. These results would have been unthinkable only a few years ago.

Winnebago seemed to be tightening there. Where are those remaining 18 precincts?

the 3 Dem recall races next week suddenly get even more interesting

There are only 2 Dem recall races next week from what I know. One of them isn't even competitive, so we really only have one shot at a pickup.

We need to hold 4 seats tonight to keep the state senate. Basically, as best I know, if Darling holds on and wins like people are saying on this thread we keep the senate.

Hopper ahead with 18 precincts left by 534 votes. Nailbiter there.

Good news is that with 5 of the remaining 23 precincts coming in, his margin only went down by 46 votes. Keep that up and he wins. Of course it's not clear how those other precincts have gone in the past.

These nail biters in the blue states almost always go RAT because they hold a few precincts back to see how many votes they are going to need.
