Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
I have a question - could someone tell me why Casey was in jail for the past 3 years? She wasn’t convicted of anything - why did they keep her in jail?
DNA is not a requirement either, but a modern concept.
Add that to your point about EXACT CAUSE of death not being a bona fide requirement, and add it to all that is inadmissable in court, and conviction becomes more and more difficult.
That the person charged “PROBABLY” did it is NOT good enough!
That the Defense Attorney Jose Baez was a dummy “NOPE”!
That the Prosecution Attorney “LAUGHED” in front of the jury “BAD MOVE”!
Can you not understand that it is possible for one to come to the conclusion that Casey murdered Caylee without any influence from HLN?

Exactly. I don’t even have TV, much less watch MSM in any way. I get my ‘news’ from FR and this is the first day I even saw a thread about the Anthony case.
I did watch the entire trial, live stream and without commentary, and I am more familiar with law and legal process than most (work as a paralegal for my husband’s firm) and I am shocked they returned not guilty.
The evidence was there that Casey killed her daughter and I have no idea how the jury came to a conclusion otherwise.
This isn’t mob mentality, it is an independent opinion.
I wonder where she will go? I bet she thinks there will be a big party for her. She is in for a big surprise, no one will want to party with her, well at least I think no one will. What do her parents do? Do they take her in? What about Lee?
The defense never proved sexual abuse, either. In fact, aside from opening arguments, never even broached the subject. The prosecution had to ask George Anthony if he had. Then Baez questioned on redirect, because he *had* to, IMO.
I’m still floored by this verdict. At least skanks 15 mins of fame are about up.
And regardless of his victory in this case, I think Baez is pretty inept. I wouldn’t hire him to represent me in traffic court.
When my son was 2 1/2, he got away from my husband at the zoo, while I was attending to our newborn. My child was “missing” for 20 minutes, and I thought I was going to die. I was grabbing at strangers, begging them to help us find him, which they did. Thirty days?? I nearly couldn’t breathe after 30 SECONDS.
Casey got away with killing her baby. I see no justice for Caylee, and I find it reprehensible that they are celebrating this verdict. When I heard the verdicts, I cried. That sweet baby never had a chance in that family.
Clarence Darrow got it right. It’s the jury. He once said that if he got six Irishmen and six Jews (to him they were both highly emotional and easily moved by sympathy) on a jury he could get Judas off with a five dollar fine.

“Do you really believe Casey is innocent? Yes or no.”
he would have had a better line had he said “five silver piece fine”
She's going to get rich from this, therefore plenty of people will be willing to kiss up to her.
Earlier in a “Sick Joke” post, I mentioned she would open a Caylee Marie Anthony Child Care Center”. At that time I thought it was sarcastic and yet funny.
Now I am realizing there is nothing funny about Caylee Marie Anthony’s Gruesome Murder!
I as one OLDE Grandfather will pray tonight for Caylee and the Black Soul of her Mother.

Very sad stuff, indeed. The whole thing irritates me.
I am totally shocked. The fact the parents (George & Cindy) left the courtroom, during the proceeding is telling...
