Why not just accept Texas as Texas and adjust to its way and what it has??

Those that don't generally get their ass kicked.

Having been born and raised there it is indeed the truth... El Paso doe have the best Mexican food in the world! I was just there this past weekend and got to eat at my favorite place - Kiki’s!

OH yes, I agree, I would think the Mexican food in El Paso is probably not the Tex Mex style so popular in Dallas area. Sounds great! Chile colorado is delicious and I guess New Mexico has the best chilis in the world. They are known for that......thanks!

I do find some hostility towards Californians here in Texas. Seems immature to me. Almost Childlike.

Yeah... well you're a doo-doo head!

And the only thing I am bringing is capital and some money to invest such as in a new home, pool, floor and already a new car.

To ask for a little kindness in return is not too much to ask for now is it? And gratitude would be a bonus I guess.

As a native Fort Worthian, I say "Welcome to Texas". As a 10 year pool owner, I say "DON'T DO IT!!!".

I spend more time working on mine than enjoying it.

I agree, a pool is a big hole that you pour money into.

Actually, we did it when we moved in. April 2009. I did a lot of research and figured the best thing for me to do was to get one...but get a SMALL one. So it’s a small one. Narrow and only 3 to 5 feet deep. Less than 10,000 gallons and easy to clean.

So it’s not that much work, kids love it. Water is blue. I agree, I would not want a big one. But I did bring some capital, Blue Haven Pools got a deal, our flooring was half the price of the pool, Around $14,000 for the new flooring, We bought a brand new Chevy Traverse from a Texas Chevrolet dealer, we eat out a lot......so see.....Californians aint so bad for Texas afterall and some of us, probably most moving here..share Texas conservative values......

Thanks. And I love Fort Worth. It’s much different than Dalls, I think Dallas is a liberal city.....Ft. Worth not so much so. I feel safe in Ft. Worth....seems everyone there is probably packing heat.........

Last time it was the North that had all the industry and manpower. The South was doomed unless they could get outside intervention, which they couldn’t.

Notice where all the industry and manpower is these days? Not to mention the ENTIRE nuclear arsenal is built/serviced in Texas and only Texas.

I’m thinking it’s getting close to time for a rematch.
