So much for the liberal/media conceit that most people are pro-abortion and want abortion to remain legal. One more liberal article of faith blown to shreds.

It doesn’t matter what the People want, as long as the dems are in power, America will continue to kill babies.

It’s Obama’s world now.

Thanks for these abortion pro and con charts. Stats can skew widely according to wording and question-order: any pollster who can't calibrate them rather precisely to suit his client, doesn't know his business.

Nevertheless, statistics have held remarkably constant for over 30 years, in that, by decisive majorities, most Americans would oppose most abortions most of the time.

Unfortunately, the exceptions could be chatracterized as follows:

Only 27 percent in this year’s survey told Gallup they thought abortion should be legal under any circumstances whatsoever [WHICH MEANS ONLY @& SUPPORT CURRENT FEDERAL LAW].

About 71 percent said they thought abortion should be illegal in at least some cases. This included 22 percent who said it should be illegal in “all circumstances,” 39 percent who said it should be legal in “only a few circumstances,” and 10 percent who said it should be legal in “most” circumstances. [WOW!]

The 22 percent who said it should be illegal in “all circumstances” and the 39 percent who said it should be legal in “only a few circumstances” equal a majority of 61 percent who believe abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances. [WOW!]

Well at least 61 out of 100 Americans still have a semblance of conscience.

Personal note: We were childless and I can still remember my lovely wife being asked when she was 43 and pregnant with twins whether or not she wanted an amniocentesis.

She stated emphatically NO, that she didn’t want to know and it didn’t matter, she was absolutely having them regardless.

I was never more proud of her.

Thanks be to God we have two beautiful 13 year old twins that make are life a joy daily.

61% is the EXACT same figure as opposed Obamacare and they did it anyway. 61% is the EXACT same figure that people supported “one man, one woman” in CA and a judge there didn’t care. So it makes no difference.

Some good news here.

I think a large part of this move has to be the spread of 3D & 4D ultrasound, and also the internet.

The pro-life movement has a powerful web presence to reach vast numbers that simply did not exist 15 odd years ago.

This a very positive sign that education - truthful education - is what it will take to change hearts and minds about the terrible sin of abortion.
