From a guy who's seen this before:
And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, polkers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you’d be cracking the skull of a cutthroat. Or what about the Black Maria sitting out there on the street with one lonely chauffeur – what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked. The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

I pray his wife and sons will find justice, and will prevail against the evil that was done to them. And they better be careful, the Lord has a special place in his heart for widows and orphans.

There is one school that is trying to correct that.
It was founded by the Homeschooling Legal Defense Association. I believe that they realized that all judges and 90% of our representatives all came from only five law schools in this nation. They are a young Christ centered university. It is called Patrick Henry.

“Also wondering if there are greater things at play here.”

That makes sense.

Lets see:
Citizens armed, check
Great targets, Klan, Aryans and gangs, check
Open or Concealed carry, check
No min on knife length carry, check
Castle doctrine, check
2nd Amendment trumps Companies, check

That would be a six-fer, that would be some doing, but if they could pull it off, it would put all the rest of the citizens of other states on notice. Then all they would need is a national emergency.

I say they are getting their ducks in a row, they just haven’t started quacking yet.

Martial law logistically for the United States would be impossible IMO. A specific area, okay. But the number of ports, airports/fields, etc compared to numbers of police, military across country? Not happening. Unless a foreign force(s) were brought in.

It was so over the top that that is what I first thought as well. But given the actions of those in power, I’m not so sure.

In fairness the 4th amendment of the Federal Constitution is to just that the Federal Constitution and does not apply to the States which are empowered by the people separately in their own State Constitution.

Sorry, you're wrong. The contitituion is binding on ALL politcal and legal jurisdictions. The concept is called "incorporation". This is the basis of the 2nd amendment rights that just went through the courts. By your definition the states can willingly take you vote, guns, speech,...

If incorporation is a legitimate doctrine, then you must therefore apply ALL of the “bill of rights” and what ever other “rights” the Federal Employees in black robes might want to make up(including a “right to privacy”) against the States.

That is the logic of the incorporation doctrine, cause it comes not from the Constitution but from estranged reading of the 14th amendment, a reading so broad as to grant the court arbitrary discretion in what they deem as a “right” cause the 14th amendment in no way defines them rights.

To that end the court has already invented “rights” to rob people of other rights, like the right to life of the unborn.

The open ended nature of the interpretation that provides for the “incorporation doctrine” IT IS NOT a theoretical argument. It has already been demonstrated.

PS: the 2nd amendment usurpation you spoke of was a great evil that did much more harm then good to the cause of liberty and REAL gun rights, by placing the Feds on the same plain of regularity power with-respect to the loopholes the court has carved into the 2nd amendment(among others) as the States. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER had the Feds been completely banned from the field. Then at least you could shop the States.

Instead you get a Pyrrhic victory. Almost meaningless as the City has demonstrated, now all the more dangerous cause what the city has done to get around the 2nd amendment can be done by Washington D.C.
