IN Sheriff: If We Need to Conduct RANDOM HOUSE to HOUSE Searches We Will
Mike Church ^ | Allison Bricker

Posted on 05/17/2011 2:59:28 PM PDT by Dr. Marten

CROWN POINT, Ind. – According to Newton County Sheriff, Don Hartman Sr., random house to house searches are now possible and could be helpful following the Barnes v. STATE of INDIANA Supreme Court ruling issued on May 12th, 2011. When asked three separate times due to the astounding callousness as it relates to trampling the inherent natural rights of Americans, he emphatically indicated that he would use random house to house checks, adding he felt people will welcome random searches if it means capturing a criminal.

Speaking under the condition of anonymity, a local city Police Chief with 30 years experience in law enforcement directly contradicted the Newton County Sheriff’s blatant disregard for privacy & liberty, stating that as an American first, such an action is unconscionable and that his allegiance is to the Indiana and federal Constitutions respectively. However, he also concurred that the ruling does now allow for police to randomly search homes should a department be under order by state or federal officials or under a department’s own accord.

At this time we are still awaiting comments from several state offices.

However, the spokesperson for the INDIANA ATTORNEY GENERAL took umbrage at what he referred to as “large” assumptions regarding police power and at this time has no comment. He did however indicate that should the INDIANA Attorney General, Greg Zoeller feel it necessary to make a statement, that this reporter would be included in the distribution of the release.

” Problem with SOTUS is that they take forever to decide to take a case, “

More to the point, the problem with the USSC is that they have spent years hollowing out the 4th amendment, scooping a little bit away with each case that comes before them...

Just in the last few days, our right to be secure in our person and property took another 8-1 hit (Ginzberg being the only dissent)

I don’t know the background but I will tell you this: Any, ANY official that says “we’ll damned well do what we want” is a piece of trash that needs to be heaved.

Thanks, I should have remembered that!

I thought there had been others, but couldn’t remember right away.

We voted 3 Supreme Court Justices out here in Iowa last election over gay marriage. The others would have been kicked out, too, if they had been on the ballot.

Thanks!

I tend to think that the removal of judges, MORE than the removal of politicians, could restore this republic.

But finding unbrainwashed proAmerican judges would be the trick.

If that were true, he could start by randomly searching the homes of the justices, and their families, and their neighbors, every month.

Background might tell us if the fellow is being sarcastic. I’m amazed the media hasn’t asked him “are you being sarcastic?”

This is the justification and the process for general gun confiscation. A random house to house for a criminal of some sort, real or invented, will necessarily include seizure of all firearms which will be actively looked for. In any search all guns are confiscated as a matter of course- try showing your CCW to the cop who stops you for a bad taillight as you are required to do by law. Then it is up to the citizen to get his property back. A few will at first.

I am afraid the only insurrection we will be seeing in Indiana is the insurrection of the Praetorian SWAT. They can take on the pols, too, by allying with one against another. The pattern was tested in NJ on an unfortunate mayor.

The bullies in blue are not themselves the problem, yet. It is the politicians and bureaucrats that support them and increasingly will use them as their power base until the power base figures out that they have the real power and can exercise it without the pols. History would seem to suggest that the progression is inevitable.

Honestly, I don’t know. You could be right. It’s just a damned stupid thing to say. In this day of freedom oppression by Obama and his ogres, it doesn’t take much to make one feel queezy about anything ANY official says, even in jest.

Sure is a good way to implement reductions in the labor force within the municipalities of Indiana.
